This was actually an awesome vid. It’s such unseen stuff, where we normally only see the tracks. It’s great to see what you guys have to do prior to going and stuff. Even little things like being in the supermarket and stuff. Great job guys I love you’s

Do you guys think you'd ever do a coil conversion on the big79? That thing would be unstoppable with the springs out of the way

AZ will be one of the most missed blokes when mits brand deal runs out with 4wd247. It’s awesome seeing a bit of behind the scenes for these iconic 4wd247 hold. Like we don’t exactly see Shauno holding a camera in Coles for us 😂. Does the 4wd247 crew provide you guys with a list of items that you must bring in a trip or do you just kind of wing it? Keep up the awesome work guys!

Thanks mate! I thought this would be a good video to make as there's so much that goes into a trip like this last one being two trips back to back (usually they're only around 2 weeks) We do get a call sheet with a plan with times and dates of where we need to meet and then start the filming, but these plans can change very quickly depending on breakages and delays and unforeseen circumstances, but we generally just go with the flow and see what happens. With these trips we all need to be self sufficient with spares, tools recovery kits and things like that and we organise our own food for most of it and Shauno does a couple of cook ups for everyone and most of the time we all end up sharing everything and just having a good old time on the tracks and around the fire!

What spare parts and consumables (oil etc) do you take for 7 weeks of hard wheeling? What tools? What's interesting at the bottom of your toolkit?

Does that 79 have a tune on it ..... I love the black soot it produces when tackling a hard challenge thrown at it

Massive process! What's the clean up process after the trips? I'm guessing up on the hoist then a lot of CT18, degreaser and high pressure hose?
@mitsalloy Жыл бұрын
Its an ongoing process after being away for so long mate. I washed the 79 4 times before getting back to the workshop and it still has red dirt coming from all sort of places

What do you eat for 3 weeks on the rd and camp cooking? Apart from the obligatory burgers snags and steaks!?
@mitsalloy Жыл бұрын
Because we are always moving, we eat quick for lunch or snacking a lot on small stuff like muesli bars, fruit, nuts for lunch its usually tinned tuna or chicken on crackers even noodles. For breaky, most would eat cereal or muesli and yogurt and dinner most of the time we each do some sort of cook up which isn't usually filmed but the might use as b-roll

Which I'd the better car offroad? Your Ranger or the 79?
@mitsalloy Жыл бұрын
For touring I'd have to say the 79 as its setup for that, but for hardcore wheeling, my ranger would have to be the winner there
