My landlady's husband just got home from the hospital, and he is now on a special diet. She told me that she can't cook, and everything is either burnt, or cooked to mush. I volunteered to help her. I'll be making a shopping list with her, and plan on taking her to the grocery store. They have been relying on the senior center, and only eating lunch there, and dinner from the drive throughs. I rely on the food banks, and have more food in my pantry than they have!😮

If you have the time ask which senior center. Call them or stop and tell them about him being home and she can't cook. They might make arrangements or supply Meals on Wheels. Thank you for helping her.

Your videos are exceptional- helpful, useful and thoughtful. Thank you. Stockpiling is important, but a person should do three styles of stockpiling. 1. Long term. 2. Short term shtf situation, but you’re feeling well. 3. Being sick. Have ready to eat canned soup/ crackers/Ginger Ale/ or canned Juice. Each is important in its own way.

I recently bought on a amzn black Friday sale wall mounted oil lamps. I got a few of them and put sturdy wall anchors hidden behind paintings so I can easily take down the paintings, and hang the lanterns incase of a power outage, that way it will be nearly like having lights on of course dimmer, but also safer as the cats should leave them alone.

Using aspirin works really excellent too crushed up with a tad of water to make a paste. It stops the pain instantly.I have used this multiple times on my grandchildren when they have gotten stung.I always keep them in my purse for that, and to have just in case someone is thinking they are having symptoms of a heart attack. It’s good to have someone immediately chew one regular 325 mg or two 81 mg baby aspirin to immediately thin the blood to prevent further damage until first responders arrive.

I recommend that everyone take great advantage of after holiday clearances on candies 🍬, on hygiene gift sets, etc. With the regular prices on these items skyrocketing, you can get deodorants, shampoos and body washes at cents on the dollar when you buy up all the clearances. If you have a decent amount to spend, you could literally stockpile SEVERAL YEARS worth of those items! One year after Christmas, I purchased 25 Axe Men's Gift Sets. That's 25 bottles of body wash, deodorants and body sprays. The gift sets were half price! You can't beat deals like that on important NEED items! Also, clip coupons for additional savings on food, hygiene and laundry products. I have found that it takes very little laundry soap (literally 1/20th of the cup line to clean my clothes. Make what you have last as long as possible. For years, I have been writing the dates on newly opened items to see how much I go through in a year. Sounds extreme, but I think it's important. Start practicing this now if you think it would help you in determining future costs and needs on everything. It's a "get out ahead of inflation" challenge for me. I hope some of this was a help to someone. God bless you all, and stay close to the Lord Jesus Christ in these last days 🙏.

On the Ichthommol drawing salve. I am 77. My mother in 1950's put this on everything. Last time in 1980's, my niece cut here heel on bicycle. We took her to ER, because it sliced he'll badly. Well, my mother put this on her heel. It was a very serious wound. When she was taken back to Dr. , He could not believe that the sliced badly heel, was all healed. Walmart does not carry anymore. I GOOGLED in 21' when prepping. I found out that there is only 1 producer. This was actually developed for horses. The pad of hoofs, specifically. If people cannot remember name, always remember this. It smells like "tar". There is this product out there, but, not original ingredients. I do know it was then about 15 on line. Original drawing salve that has been around for a long time. Prevents infection and heals tissue. Just a FYI. I DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ON LINE. I WILL TRY AND FIND THAT HORSE FARM. PICTURE ON INTERNET. WRAP IN GAUSE.

Hi AG, for any of your viewers who are on Medicare, they should check to see if their policy has the option of OTC (over the counter) products. Our policy allows my husband and I each to get up to $70 per quarter of over the counter items things like what you'd find at the store or pharmacy like basic medications (aspirin, bandaids, alcohol, ointments, gauze, tape etc), soaps, lotion; toothpastes and tooth brushes and even some things like thermometer, scales, elastic splints and other items like that. The selection can change each quarter. Some are brand names and others are a generic type. I'm sure it varies for each insurance company but the point is that you can stock up on some things that might end up being short at your local stores. This is at no additional cost to us, it is covered as part of our policy and we have to use the allottment each quarter, it doesn't roll over each quarter. We've been able to get things for our own home and share it with some of our family too. If someone isn't sure they have this kind of offering, they can go to their insurance website and check or call the number on their card.

How can I store water off grid without heat in the winter?
@lyndasmith8747
@lyndasmith8747 6 ай бұрын
Don’t know whether you are in an apartment, condo, or house. Prior to the next huge winter snow or freeze, you need to get something to provide indoor heat, such as big paraffin oil lamps or Vesta heater/cooker that can heat small areas without electricity. These will help keep both you and your stored indoor water from freezing when you lose power. There are also videos on KZbin about how to set up clay flower pots and tea lights to provide some heat. You can wrap your indoor water storage containers in big plastic bags and then cover them with blankets to help prevent indoor freezing. That’s what I do and so far it has worked. I do the same with the blue plastic 55gallon water barrels that I have outdoors. Only fill them 3/4 full of water to allow for ice expansion if they freeze. But cover them with black plastic contractor bags or heavy duty plastic sheeting, then cover the barrels with straw bales if you have it, then throw another layer of plastic sheeting over the straw to keep the heat in and keep the straw dry. Straw (not hay) is a fantastic and inexpensive insulator for anything outdoors.

As a result I went from someone who could hardly ever find my thermometer to well infirmary, including an O2 monitor and a blood pressure cuff. In my defense, my doctor made me get it all.
