I'm in Ohio, 101 miles away from East Palestine, but still concerned for the millions of people that will be affected by this. I even called the Ohio EPA, the operator Diane was very polite, and gave the latest water and air readings, but my concern remains the same. I don't trust them. My favorite birds are my chickens. This is really cool, I never knew something like this existed. Thank you for demoing it for us and the giveaway. I am in Ohio and my favorite wild birds are hummingbirds. We get tons in the summer and watching them play and sometimes gripe at each other is so cute! I am hoping our Berkey and stored water will get us through. I called my water provider and the guy I talked to was very concerned. Luckily, our water comes from an underground aquifer and it is tested at 2 sites before it gets to us daily. I asked him what protocol would be should it become contaminated and he was going to check and call me back. I did not hear from him, so I will be calling in the morning. I was VERY surprised to hear that I was the first and only person to call them with concerns. Thank you so much Pinball for your coverage on this disaster!

Hey Pinball! I don't very often comment on youtube videos, but as I do live about 15 mins from ground zero, (Ohio) I figure this one might be worth-while. I think I can speak for most of your subscribers when I say, we actually look forward to the next video you post, and are positively impacted by the effort you put into all of them. We appreciate what you do. With so many selfish people walking on this rock, it's nice to see someone who actually WANTS to help other people. Thank you. There aren't many birds I don't like (except maybe the blue jay...that ear-piercing screech tweaks a nerve I can't describe), but it's hard to match the majesty of a red-tailed hawk. God bless.

Fellow Ohioan praying for all impacted by this de-railment. I live right near a big train yard. We had one tanker fire can't remember what chemical, one evacuation due to rail road accident, and one train yard fire that burnt a garage building right behind our home (about a city block's distance into the woods). Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this horrific tragedy. We have family south of Palestine, and we live in se KY. Our family is more affected by this than we are, but I still worry about the water for our small farm where we raise goats, chickens, vegetables, and medicinal herbs. All of which take.... Water. Hopefully when it warms up a little, those bright yellow finches start flying around with the bluebirds, ( it's had to pick a favorite), maybe it'll lift all our spirits and everyone just a little hope. Louisiana here. favorite bird is a red cardinal. My Dad was stuck in his room a lot the last 8 years of his life hooked up to a feeding tube (bad MVA) and became a bird watcher through the patio doors. I have a pair of cardinals that come each spring looking for the birdseed he always fed them. His room is now my room.

PSA: There is no at-home kit to test for the many analogs of vinyl chloride within your water supply. Please call your local laboratory to get your water tested if you are within the affected area. This appears to be a great unit. Here in South Carolina we live on a creek just across from a pasture full of cows…who love to stand belly deep in the creek. I'm from Kansas, a town North of us about an hour was just notified 6 months ago that there was a chemical leak from the railroad and was known by the city and the railroad for years. It came out after several people became sick after drinking water from their wells. Some still have well water in the city and aren't getting city water. It's effected over 150,000 people. The fact that this was covered up for over 5 years before an employee blew the whistle that worked for the city doesn't surprise me. My favorite bird is the Western Meadowlark it's our state bird. We in Louisiana thank you, Pinball, for all your efforts to inform and educate us about what is happening and how to protect ourselves the best we can. We have chemical plants situated up and down the Mississippi River here in the southern part of the state. We are like a dumping ground for everyone upstream from us and are known for parts of the population having elevated cancer and health risks. The water filtration system that Elliot is giving away looks like a good one. My favorite bird near my home is the a Blue Jay.

You could put a float towards the end of the intake to only allow the end to be 3-4" under the surface. Neat little water filtration system and I like that it can run/be recharged off solar too. Washington State, Hummingbird
