Love the QR code idea! An even easier way to create one is to click the "share" icon within the Chrome address bar on the right and it has a QR code generator option.

Thank you so much for this awesome video! I'm embarrassed to say I've been teaching for over 20 years and am not nearly as organized as you are! I have my boxes organized by months and by themes but don't have lists of the contents and definitely not the QR codes (I'm a bit tech phobic)! Thank you so much for sharing your expertise! Love your organizational tips! The Google Doc with the QR code is the game changer I'm looking for. That'll make grabbing what I need so much easier than looking through each box, as sometimes I need an item that's stored in a different box. I love your labels for the boxes you have created. Can the size be adjusted to fit a shoe box, or will they only fit the boxes shown? Are they editable? I can hardly wait to show you my after pics once I implement your helpful tips. 🤗🥰

Not sure which one you're referring to. If it's where I store my manipulatives and art supplies, those are built-in cabinets in my classroom. Let me know if that's not what you're referring to.

Just curious. I’ve always stored all my theme or unit materials, including books, together in a large tote. What are your benefits to separating everything the way you have? I’m asking because I’ve had to temporarily rent a storage unit for the large totes and some grant materials I don’t currently have space for in my home and I’m wondering if I separate things into smaller containers it may be easier to make the room to store them.

I do store my thematic materials in the plastic tubs I showed in the beginning. But my tubs just kept getting bigger and bigger, and heavier and heavier, and some books can be used for multiple units. That's when I decided to separate the books from the tubs and it's much more manageable for me now. I no longer have to lift super heavy tubs and the smaller tubs are much easier to store. Do whatever works for you.
