This clarinet sounds extremely well. Very centered and even sound. Might be the best Selmer clarinet I've heard anyone play on.

I still prefer the greater variety of sounds in all 3 registers which I can obtain on my 1978 Selmer 10S Bb clarinet using a Vandoren B40 mouthpiece, Vandoren MO silver plated single screw ligature and Rico Select or Classic Reserve reed. The Presence model has less full tone, especially in the lower registers .This may produce more accurate , easier tuning and pitching of notes at the expense of a too uniform , less exoressive sound.

Selmer n'est plus depuis quelques années. J'étais un fan des vintages qui jouaient d'une liberté incroyable. Les modèles créés ces dernièrement sont pitoyables. La récital et la signature sont les restes d'un passé glorieux. Franchement? Buffet joue bien mieu. Encore que la mondialisation est passé par là. Fabriquer vite. Vendre. Etc... VA falloir voir ailleur.
