Great and logical approach. Always interesting to listen to your insights even for a non graphic designer. If I may, what was called the double funnel is actually The Double diamond framework. It was developped by Design Council in the UK if I'm not mistaken.

Foamboard is pretty nice for presentation! Studying architecture and we had this side project to make some themed photography shots; long story short: My project partnet and me printed them on foamboard for the final presentation and it earned bonus points for sure plus a positive feedback! I can always recommend them!

If you build towards it, vs one big reveal, it's much easier to get alignment and agreement.

Hey Chris, Awesome video. I have a question to ask: Who makes user profile like the one you did with the stylescapes? Whose role is responsible for that? Ux? Do you have any courses to learn more how to create user profile, pain points etc? 😁

2:55 when you say you show them logos, are you showing them logos that you've designed or are they logos of other companies that seem to fit they are asking for?
@TheFuturAcademy4 жыл бұрын
At that stage, we use Stylescapes, which is a curation of images, type, and pre-existing logos (ours and others), to help narrow a direction.

Hey Chris I love 💫 your content! My question is : Is it a good idea to pitch a pre-made logo to a local buisness that I think would take them to "Brand" status? I totally believe in my logo💡ideas! 👊😎

Still many customers want to see variations of a logo. Really would like to see such a pitch were they present just a single logo
@TheFuturAcademy4 жыл бұрын
That's why we approach it as a build-up of a sequential presentation- getting buy-in and alignment along the way- not just one big reveal.
@RomboutVersluijs4 жыл бұрын
@@TheFuturAcademy yes I understand,it a complete process with a very deep research into the ideal customer. I wonder if you guys ever get a customer who still would ask for different concepts. I can't wrap my head around that all customers simply go with a single presentation of the solution
@nanditamenon22194 жыл бұрын
@@RomboutVersluijs It can be a bit difficult to conceptualize such a scenario but I believe the way they've done it is by going through so much process and revision that the client already has gone through the "variations" as possibilities and it has been narrowed down to one concept as a main focus before the final presentation. I feel like giving the client the opportunity to go "this is amazing, I love it" also gives them the opportunity to say "I don't like it". Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the way they solve this is by taking away that chance in the first place through process. Hence the "this is exactly what I expected".
@holyshiet7874 жыл бұрын
I dont see any pronblem offering your clients multiple versions of the logo. I offer 3 versions that are unique for them to choose, and i havent had any problems with that. However, some designers offer lots of versions until the client is satisfied which is crazy for me honestly.
@RomboutVersluijs4 жыл бұрын
@@holyshiet787 yes I do the same. I try to keep it at 3. I can't wrap my head around showing just 1
