The freight was a nice touch, but they should have that done with the NG/G16 in SAR livery. With some parts of the Snowdon valley looking quite similar to parts of the Avontuur valley and Swartberge in South Africa it would not have been difficult imaging you were seeing that train run there.

I so wanted to do this today. But having to buy a ticket for a minimum of two people put me off. The K1 trains seem very lightly loaded.

Social distancing is still being maintained, so carriages have every other seating bay unoccupied (travelled on Friday!)

The first train only had passengers in the observation saloon, second run loadings looked OK but not great. The WHRS AGM special looked well patronised thought with passengers spread throughout the train.

@@AndreiTupolev Nationally I am not sure, but the Guard on our train was enforcing it and alternate seating bays were labelled accordingly. FR train- FR’s rules!
