My rotary can opener is a 1966 American Swing Away with red vinyl handle and it's used daily and is still in great shape. Swing Aways are junk now made in China and cost about $10. I was a homeless Navy Veteran living on the streets. I lost many things but not my Swing Away. I have a nice high rise apartment now and I still have my can opener. It's been from Florida to my new home in Pennsylvania. Almost 50 years and this can opener keeps going like the day it was made. I use it for my Coke bottles as well.

I am Moroccan and the chicken and cinnamon combination is very common in all parts of the country , in fact , it is a typically Morrocan flavor found in the most famous dish called " Pastilla " . Seeing people wonder what it tastes like to eat chicken and cinnamon is very funny to me . Moroccan cuisine is typically rich with recipes where the sweet and the salty harmonically marry. So , visitors of Morocco ought to expect such combinations and be more open-minded to unfamiliar flavors.

Important to add to my comment about the mountains of wasted aluminium cans in some parts of America. In municipalities where CASH recycling of beverage containers does occur, it has at least two benefits. Collecting used containers for cash has greatly reduced the litter on roadsides and in parks. It has also become a source of income for the poor. Especially for the homeless.

Tin cans had all the ingredients sought-after for a perfect recipe of facility, they are light , recyclable , sturdy and durable. However, they're still highly dependent on can openers. Imagine you were in the middle of the sea on an inflatable boat with nothing on board but some cans of food and no can openers or anything sharp and pointy to use, you ll have to starve while staring at the cans simply bc u can't open them . Also , tin can are very dangerous and sharp

Knowing that Italy was like Hawaii to Germans back in time despite the geographical proximity is a shock to me .I mean there must've been a striking difference between the two countries and I assume circumstances in Germany were quite harsh at which point people started seeing a neighboring country with almost the same values and European traits as Heaven . Normally, the cultural radiation of European countries should have spread across the continent making of all countries one whole. This is what usually happens . It's inevitable. It's a rule

The worst sort of contemporary docu: a load of unkown heads with no qualification reading the sentence under the 'photo's in a coffee-table book. With an enormous, inappropriate, promotion of birds, foreign birds, foreigners, to make it all seem normal - every one a 'trusted' face, usually pulling faces as the emotionally opine.

gitfoa .. Hadn't thought about it, but it's true. People with no expertise on this subject are doing the presenting. Their expertise is to narrate from a script in a smooth and eloquent manner. But, they've overlooked a number of errors and omissions in the history of cans.
