A great selling point to promote tourism in Sierra Leone. The country's position in the emancipation of freed slaves is unique and the board houses are all part of that story. I only hope the present government would work swiftly to preserve them as time is running out

I strongly hope the present government will invest into saving at least some of these buildings. Its a huge aspect of the Sierra Leonean history

Less these days, but prior to the war tourism was booming. It was recovering until Ebola hit.
