Bro this is good work. It reminds me of the hadith where the prophet Muhammad (SAW) explained. If eveyone human, from the first to the last were to gather in one place and ask Allah for everything they ever wanted and Allah grants everyone everything they ever wanted, it would not reduce from what Allah has more than what a needle displaces when it is deeped in the ocean and removed.

@@LamJay-n4y That’s your problem and don’t need validation from anyone to believe it or not. I am sarahule/maraka and I speak it. I was born here and that’s why my Daramy is spelt this way instead of Drammeh the Gambian way. So what the hell do you have to comment about something you don’t know of

Africa need more young men like this, I lived in Ghana for 3 yrs and I was always encouraging local people to love themselves and their country, and that the West can't answer all their problems. If only I had discovered this channel earlier I could have directed them towards it, to help them expand their view of the continent and themselves. This young man is truly a blessing.

Going through this documentary, reminded me of the kind of agony our people are passing through. Please go back there and do more research, meet the indigenous people of the land, asking questions they will tell you the dangers of staying in that land. You just visited the few that are being fortunate in the land. It's a pity for my fellow citizens of the land being excited about what they see online. I always ask people the question, why people escalate the little good and hide the truth of the big dangers? My brother go back to kono and do another documentary on the lives of the people, even those in the mining areas and come back to prove me right or wrong.

It seems the people don't know the worth of the gold in Africa. Gold is now at record highs and 1 gram of gold is worth $75 USD. Yet they sell the gram of gold for maybe $1 and consider themselves lucky. Knowledge is power. They estimate the value of minerals in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is worth $24 trillion USD. There is no reason for anyone in Africa to be poor. The modern world would shut down without the minerals from Africa. In Botswana De Beers gives 30% of the diamonds to the country. With good government it is a win-win situation and everyone benefits.

Such a beautiful country having the world's biggest diamond mine, is in the first place of poorest countries of the world
@oceejekwam682910 ай бұрын
If the small scale miners are local and consider themselves "the owners of the land", do they receive money from the foreign mining companies for mining on their land? The gold and diamonds are FINITE, therefore it should be managed prudently. . I have never heard of gold or diamonds being referred to as INFINITE resources. One day they will run out and Sierra Leone had best make the best use of them whilst it remains or it will have to join the beggars of this world.
