Because of my young age I didn't know really much about him. I heard from my parents his name and that he is a champ but never really searched more about him. After his death I watched many of his videos. He made me wake up from a long sleep. I feel myself a loser now because I've done nothing with my life until this age. Thank you Muhammad Ali for letting me know how great you were. You're greatness and confidence and believe that you had in yourself makes me feel so small. RIP Ali you will NEVER be forgotten. Ali and President Barack Obama are shining examples of what one can achieve in life regardless of their caste, creed,colour , religion or race for that matter. My hero is Nelson Mandela and Ali and so many others who devoted their lives fighting the injustices of the world. I did my bit at my place of work and I was victimized. I have no regrets, because enhancing the lives of my fellow human beings is important to me. I am 67 years old and retired now. RIP Ali.

Obama is not Constitutionally i.e. , legally, the President of the United States. Article II ' natural born Citizen ' enjoins sole allegiance at birth. The off-spring of non-U.S Citizens are not permitted to assume Command in Chief of the U.S Military. Abolitionist and Architect of the 14th Amendment, John Bingham speaks : " Every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born Citizen " obama was born a Citizen of the United Kingdom & Colonies through his non-U.S Citizen, Father, barrack obama sr and as such, is, at best, a statutory U.S Citizen ;naturalized at birth or shortly thereafter.

I'm the same age as Barack, so I assume that he was about 55 when this was filmed. I too can remember looking up to Ali when I was a kid, because as a black child we didn't have many heroes. But not even Hollywood could have created a more iconic figure for us than Muhammad Ali. He was indeed the total package, and Spike Lee put it best, "He was handsome, articulate, funny, outspoken, and was whippin' ass too!" Historically, we blacks have suffered from self-hatred issues, stemming from the fact that we are living a white society, but it was Ali, more than any other historic black figure, who made us realize that black was indeed beautiful, and when he proclaimed to be "pretty" -- and he was indeed -- we felt that we too were individually beautiful. Moreover, when he predicted that he could accomplish feats that many deemed were "impossible," he gave the self confidence to believe in ourselves and in doing so anything could be possible. He was indeed one of a kind; the like of which we will never see again.

Interesting perspective you have - JFK's family made their fortune selling illegal whisky during prohibition. JFK started Americas involvement in Vietnam. JFK had sexual affairs with every woman he could get his hands on - including his 18 year old intern. He drugged her on occasion. He was not selfish however, he did allow one of his cabinet member have a go with her in the White house swimming pool. Saying someone is the "real deal" is subjective and not an opinion shared by all.
@2030matrix8 жыл бұрын
I somehow replied to the wrong post. Now I cant fine the original post. I agree with you. jfk was not what the American people think he was. today, he would be impeached and probably sent to jail for drugging his intern to have sex with him and at least one of his cabinet members.

Got goose pumps! I am with out words. But so fitting! Muhammad Ali's greatest fight and triumph was to be an unapologetic and prideful Black Man who loved himself as such in an antagonistic white man's racist world and was happy and himself. Publicly voice it over by saying "I am beautiful" and have such self respect & esteem This was immensely shocking! he truly overcame racism back then. He truly shock the world in boxing and much more outside of the boxing ring.
