James Burns Common sense as in having an objective perspective of Trump's tenure in the executive. It'd be cognitive dissonance to not acknowledge the unforseen accomplishments he's had considering the level of virulent hate in DC he's had to navigate through. Then again, perhaps, it is the striking difference between a financial journalist and a political journalist. Like President Donald Trump has said time and time again, "Numbers are numbers. Mine happen to be great". Furthermore, this is an undeniable fact the financial press must acknowledge. Where is the "political journalist" can talk about immobilizing/unseating Trump over "moral fitness" whilst their State Department friends in silicon valley censor the public's outcry into the unaddressed Satanic worship in Hillary Clinton's circles.

I think it's very reasonable to focus entirely on the facts - including just the financial facts in this case. But the assertion that "Numbers are numbers. Mine happen to be great." is itself a claim that can and should be challenged and drilled into. It's not about either hate or love; it's about holding power to account by ensuring that the tough questions are always asked in an effort to shine a light on the truth at all times.

If you bring on a guest for an interview and then make accusatory questions without allowing them to completely answer the questions then that's predatory and promotion of false news. That's exactly what CNN and MSNBC has been doing for years. Fox is guilty as well. This is why major news viewership has plummeted so much the past few years.
