Regarding plagues in verse (9?) - and I’ve meant to mention this on one of your other videos - Pres Nelson has said in a few context that plagues can be things like pride, hostility, etc. So again, goes back to your point that the way prophecies play out aren’t usually how we expect.

I like how at the end of the video the Light the World star morphs into the Christ logo. I like how we are all invited to be His angels this Christmas. I like how the Facebook page for Light the World offers a Kindness Randomizer of ideas on how to bring light to people each day. I like how President Nelson called for us all to minister to others, and to be higher and holier. If we all become higher, and holier, active in ministering, doing acts of kindness, and talking of Christ as the prophet just invited us to, then will we not become as a heavenly host surrounding the earth, bearing glad tidings of great joy? Is this like a screening process? Will doing it better qualify us aa doers of the word and not hesrers only, to be caught up as angels when He comes?

Pres. Nelson also referenced the sign of the Son of Man in the Christmas Devotional in 2020 in his message titled "Divine Gifts" - "At His first coming, Jesus came almost in secret. But at His Second Coming, the Lord’s glory 'shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.'21 Then He shall 'rule as King of Kings and reign as Lord of Lords.'22" I don't know if you had already seen that reference, and it's interesting right after it he gives a blessing as an authorized servant of Christ. I was taken back to that message because last week's Come Follow Me, it really stood out to me in Ether 12 to "seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written" and that is also part of his message. As a personal note, in my observance there has been a pretty consistent bright, vibrant light each day. It is a kind of light I've noticed here and there since late 2019, but this year it is just almost daily from morning until night in all seasons. I have wondered if it is a result of gathering the righteous and the light of those who are not of this realm is growing - creating a more crisp and constant light. If that is the case, I would think a prophet would have the gift to see the increase of souls who are preparing on the "other side of the veil" who are letting their light "so shine" so to speak.

Also about Doctrine & Covenants 101:23. In the same time-frame of this increasing brightness of light I feel we have in my area, I also see this scripture in action with the way we are learning in the Temple with presentation gradually adjusting. Having the veil lifted and all flesh (men and women) not kept from having the increase in revelation given in the House of the Lord. The footnote for "see" references Isaiah 40:5, as well as two other verses in the D&C. Not sure how to explain this, but it feels very much as if we are living what is recorded about the stakes being established and the blessings happening in that.

As you were reading through these scriptures the thought came to me that scripture in Zachariah is describing what will be happening both in Jerusalem ( the Lord coming to the mount of Olives) and this land (we will see a day a night and a day with no darkness) similar to the Savior’s first coming. They are ages 16, 13, 10 and 7. My husband is taking a little longer to believe things are so close, but i feel like he had a breakthrough on Sunday. One thing that I like to look for when considering astronomical events is what precisely did the quote say. They said they will think it is a planet or a comet right? So which event in our day has been mistaken for a planet then possibly a comet? The only one I know about so far is “A comet about the size of a small planet, and previously mistaken as a planet, is headed toward our solar system, and scientists expect it to be here in about 10 years. The comet, officially designated C/2014 UN271 and discovered in 2021 by Pedro Bernardinelli and Gary Bernstein, might be as big as 100 miles (160km) across, making it much larger any other comet we've discovered. In fact, when it was first discovered, the astronomers mistook it for a small dwarf planet or similar trans-Neptunian object. “ This was all over the news in 2022.

10 years you say? "This will be a decade to remember" My speculative opinion (for what its worth) is this sounds like the city of Enoch returning back to Earth. I forget the references, but it sounds like first Christ comes, then the New Jerusalem is built, then the city of Enoch comes back and sets down next to the New Jerusalem. 10 years then would allow all of these events to transpire. I really don't think we're looking at even 10 years before Christ returns.

I think this vision occurrences happen when he was reading the scriptures with his family on Christmas Day of 1998. He saw the sign of Christ's birth. He saw The sun will set with no darkness. And it was in "these lands of promise". He then goes on to say that he "saw it as it will be"when Jesus will come to stand on the Mount of Olives. it's extremely important to show how he received that vision. with joy, love and remembrance of that light.

I remember that God has power over all things that would include when he created the Earth and he told Adam and Eve to multiply and replenish the Earth and to subdue the earth. Mankind has done such a thing. There is nothing and I mean absolutely nothing on this Earth that did not originate from God the Father... he created all things and gave man knowledge on how to utilize them. When the internet first came out I knew it was going to be a great tool for Lucifer however God knew of the potential for each man to use the internet for good. And now here we are today using it for a tool to spread the gospel and the word of God and the love of Our Father in Heaven as well as Jesus Christ. I believe God can use anyone or anything he chooses to further his work on this Earth.

You will enjoy the book "THE SIGN OF THE SON OF MAN" dedicated to "The Glory of the Lord" or the Hebrew word "Shechinah" meaning a glorious cloud or brilliant light or pillar of fire indicating the presence of the Lord. Author is Gala Wise, published 1991. This book will help the saints get used to what is happening when they read key words in the scriptures of "overshadowed in a cloud" or "pillar of light " rendering the perfect understanding of the presence of the immortal glory of the Lord such as in the case of Mother Mary or the Mount of Transfiguration and your examples in this video.

I had this dream last year. I was at a Bee’s Baseball game. We were in the final inning and we were excited for the fireworks to start. The next thing I see is a huge scroll roll up in the sky. Great video, Jared. Thanks. It gave me pause for pondering of the wording of this statement by Joseph. I am now thinking that the "Comets" are not definitive. The wicked will "probably" or perhaps just try and reason that there is some "natural" explanation for what is happening. "Two Comets coming in contact with each other" literally... would produce an immediate massive burst of Light--but Joseph says it will start small and grow. The comets, etc. may also be figurative and a description of the Restoration. President Holland said that the Second Coming began with the First Vision. The Light has been growing from there. Is the First Vision the first Sign of the coming of the Son of man??? Is the Temple the Sign of the coming of the Son of Man??? President Nelson said we will find Him there. Is the Temple the place where eventually every eye shall see the "blaze" or glory of the Lord??? The wicked will attribute the success of the Restored Church, to "good practices" and "business acumen" like a couple of comets coming in contact or coming together. The wicked will attribute the advancement of mankind since the First vision to "natural causes." The Saints however will see the Hand of the Lord. Remember President Hinckley's talk in October 2001--"There has been more of scientific discovery during these years than during all of the previous history of mankind." The wicked consider this "natural." Jared - Enoch is the first prophet to refer to Jesus Christ as "The Son of Man." Jesus referred to himself as the Son of Man many many times during his lifetime. Perhaps President Russell M Nelson is telling us to study about The Son of Man, as mentioned in the Book of Enoch? D&C 107:56-57.

My speculation is that there was a new star given as a sign of the Saviors birth. It lit up the entire hemisphere that the Nephites were living on. I think this sign was likely a nearby star that went supernova. I've read and heard that it would light up the night sky for a couple of days, even being bright enough to see during the day time. Similarly, I've also heard that another nearby star is due to go supernova very soon. This to me could be a fulfillment of the "Sing of Man" in that the world would attribute the lighting up of our night sky so that it's clear, but not bright to this star going supernova. While perhaps technically true, they would also be missing the sign for what it is.

I noticed some New Zealand historical connection to the name Russell Marion Nelson. In the 1770's the French sailor Marion Du Fresne & his crew were killed by local maori near the town of Russell NZ. Jared, I have a question I need some clarification on... I understand that the righteous saints who witness Christ's coming will be happy & rejoice....okay, So, I'm just a bit confused as a mother, (like myself ), happen to have some of my children who will quite likely be numbered in the righteous, and some who may possibly be numbered in the wicked, that sounds to me, to be incredibly heartbreaking .😢So, I'm wondering how I exactly, will feel, as I'm so happy that our wonderful Savior is returning, yet I would also be aware that some of my children (or loved ones),are going to possibly burn! Do you have any insight on this? I know that I am supposed to live the Gospel the best way I know how, so that by my good works, I may be blessed, & my children may be blessed...But I've got 5 kids, all very different, with varying sets of circumstances... 2 of my kids were born under the covenant, but 3 were not. 3 kids were baptized,(only 1 of those have been baptized, & live the gospel),& the other 2 were not really ever "active" in the church... & 1 born under the covenant was never baptized, or wanted to investigate the church prior to becoming an adult. See why I'm so confused?? Lol... I appreciate any help in untangling this mess that you can possibly offer!❤😊😅

They will only be burned if they are living telestial lives. Like murder, adultery, etc. Those living a celestial and terrestrial lives will still be on the earth. Even ones that are not members. They will eventually recognize christ as who he is and be baptized into the church. There will be a lot of surprises, I'm sure. People we think are great might actually be hiding sins that will get them burned. It will be heartbreaking, but the Savior will be there to calm and comfort our hearts. Our Heavenly Father is so loving, that no matter what kingdom we end up at, we will be comfortable and happy. If not celestial, we will pay for our unrepentant sins, but then be happy.

Elder Holland says it's not a physical burning but a burning of conscious which is a good thing. It gives them a chance to rethink their choices. Repentance will still be possible but harder. The Savior doesn't want anyone left out. I believe your wayward children will be given a chance to repent but they won't be caught up to meet Him as your righteous children and you at that time. Yes that will be painful for us as parents but they will still have a chance to repent before the end of the millennium.

This is a little strange but in the video game industry there was a game made that may have a reference to what the Lord is going to do at the Second Coming. For the Day of the Lord's Glory is a little like the Zodiac Weapon In Rachet and Clank Playstation video game.. When Rachet uses the Zodiac. Everything goes all white for several seconds... And then seconds later when the light all passes through and returns back to normal again, all the enemies on the screen suddenly all disintegrate and fall all apart into piles of ashes. It was one of the most powerful weapons in the game. I think those in the video game industry are aware of the Second Coming to some degree as I see it in some of the video games little subtle references to it. And that could be also what the Lord is also going to do similar to the Zodiac Weapon. 1. I've been thinking a lot about the 2/3rds of the Book of Mormon that hasn't been given to us yet, and after a wonderful year of studying the Book of Mormon, I've wondered if in January the Church would actually roll out the sealed portion as the 2025 book to study. So i just noticed that the Book of Mormon cover/icon/image in the LDS library is no longer blue. It's black like the other books. It was blue only a few days ago...

It is WONDERFUL to have the coming of the Lord in our near future. Are you speculating that the sign is already on its way? I think the Saints are sometimes feeling that it is right around the corner. This is an undereducated thought and not doctrinal. Just remember all that Joseph and the prophets have taught about the huge work that is to be accomplished first. We as a society of Saints are in no shape to build cities of Zion and a final Zion Temple undisturbed by the apostate people we live around just for a small example. A new Jerusalem can't be built with us living in this society.

Ok so this is a totally random thought but i like the math and Pres Nelson loves 7s...what if in 2026 he refers to it 3 times, 2028 4 times, 2030 5times, ....2034 would be 7 times = perfection/completion which is 2000 years since Christ was resurrected .. my favourite candidate for his return...also i looked at dates where our general conference overlaps the Jewish feast that would be most likely ..best candidates are 2025 and 2034...fun times huh 😁

Your looking for the signature of divine timing with the birthdates of a man and woman apx 7 years apart. 1977, 1983. That would also mean the man is born april 6th, and the woman born oct 31st.
