Honestly--if you had to deal with the criminal element from the "minority" population on a daily basis wouldn't you want to be able to meme about it? I know many things condemned as "racist" are in the eye of the beholder, and every black official in the US sees racism as their number one foe. Especially if they are a bit shady themselves. But their days are much more than dealing with black communities. Do black officers dealing with black communities do the same? The problem is group mentality. The "US". It gives a sense of entitlement. And that can be dangerous when you are arrogant about your job. Especially when you mob up in your heads. These communications are also about the other cops who don't join in..Tribal walls. "The crowd is the untruth."

@@sclogse1 I don't imply that police in white areas are any more content with the ignorant white people they have to deal with then they are of ignorant black people. Just I haven't seen the supposed racist memes so I can't really make a judgment--but I do believe, from seeing bodycam and dash cam footage, that the black officers feel the same way in these encounters. I defy anyone saying they never saw something that was secondarily racist that they might have chuckled at.

Thus far, the named officers have not been charged with any crime nor have they been subject to internal department discipline. While the judge's action in releasing the names may be legal, I find it ethically questionable. This action, in effect, "finds them guilty" in the court of public opinion without the chance to defend themselves. As for Thorpe, he has a record of sexual harassment, alcohol abuse, conflicts of interest and attempts to stifle anyone who disagrees with him going back at least as far as 2007. His attempts to portray himself as some kind of "moral crusader" are laughable.

RACISTS always point out faults in other peoples conduct. Not treating everyone as a viable human being tops all other faults. Racists are not equipped to police diverse cities. There are thousands of other jobs Where you can circulate among your selves. Your philosophy of life is your own.
