@@fvecc Yes it is, amazing. Somebody should tell Greta Thunberg about what a real "stolen future" looks like. White Privilege indeed. The Kennedys were one of the richest families in the USA. Jack got his back broken in The Solomons in 1943 and his brother flew missions with the 110th and died in an accident over England. Our shared history makes a mockery of the "Wokeness" of todays "Youth". Peace.

I have slipped the surly bonds of earth, And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds, --and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of --Wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air... Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark or even eagle flew -- And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

I was raised in a pretty liberal household, and I have plenty to say on subjects such as Reaganomics and the War on Drugs (my dad has plenty more to say). This speech proves that being president is about more than policy, more than championing the ideals of one party or another. Being the president is about being a leader, and bringing the country together during times of hardship. Whatever my disagreements might be with the way he ran things, I cannot deny that Reagan did that very well, certainly better than many who claim to represent his party in 2020.

Would you mind informing what the "War on Drugs" was about? Also, I do know his Reaganomics helped Americans create and fill 19 million new jobs in the private sector. I was in 5th grade when this happened. When Reagan have that speech, Democrats and Republicans listened silently. Everyone across the political spectrum was blindsided by that horrible event that morning. But that evening, Reagan spoke to us, assuring everyone that despite what happened, we would get back up, and get back to work and moving forward. On that occasion, he was everyone's President. We have/had a President, like Trump, but also Reagan, who did things which were maybe unpopular in opinion, but the right thing to do. Such as $ Tax Cuts or making peace with North Korea/Communist countries, as Reagan did with the USSR.

Lord knows that I would not have seen eye to eye with Reagan on many, many things, but I could not have delivered a better speech under the circumstances - his address to the children who were unfortunate enough to witness the explosion was especially important.

Imagine if Trump had to deal with this kind of situation, he would've just made a tweet about it. It's sad that with each passing year presidents in US are getting worse and worse. Reagan did a good job as a president and dealt with this tragedy with the utmost humility and understanding. Rest in peace Challenger heroes and everyone who sacrificed their lives after for the name of science.
