Such a wonderful video of President Reagan and Nancy. Thank you all in the military for your sacrifice to keep our country safe. Thank you to President Reagan's Library for the footage shown here. And to the men that were there in their wheelchairs, I say thank you for serving. My family and I are very sorry for the injuries you suffered for all American's. We as a nation should honor all for the ultimate sacrifice and be greatful there are men and women willing to die for the sanctity of our freedom. Thank you all.

I was there as the Casualty Assistance Officer for the widow of GySgt Donald W. Hildreth. After the ceremony, President and Mrs. Reagan met privately with the families of both the deceased and wounded, the President then personally thanked each of us CACOs.

I was there as a Marine what a great honor to be part of History. I remember seeing him arriving, and the helicopter land not far from the podium and car going down hill where he spoke.

This President was a true American: unfailingly humble, gracious and respectful, yet greatly talented in the arenas that are most critical for global leadership successes - consensus building, communications, leadership by example, wit and humor, common sense, and especially a deep understanding of good and bad, of right and wrong. I served through his entire Presidency - it was the height of the Cold War against a factually immoral and wicked Soviet (now Russian, but there’s no real difference) Empire - and HE was the victory of our nation’s longest conflict, one which lasted from the late-1940’s (think of the Berlin Airlift) until 1990 . . . and which included Korea, Vietnam, and countless other large and small profoundly sacrificial events such as Peacekeeping in Beirut. My God Bless Ronald Wilson Reagan and may he always serve as a role model for all who are privileged to devote their lives to the United States of America.

The fact that Ron and Nancy paid no attention to the rain and mud and only to the Marines and their families says volumes about them.
