This is without doubt the greatest speech ever made by an American President. It is one of the greatest speeches made in the history of mankind. It took guts and intelligence to make. He is steady in an audience that has the potential for extreme hostility. This speech was not easy to do.

22:18 "Of course there is still much work to be done. That means honestly confronting the crisis of Islamic extremism and the Islamists and Islamic terror of all kinds. " - It is so good to FINALLY see an American President and a Western leader who talks about the threat of Islamism and Islamic terror to the faces of Muslim leaders during a summit, encouraging them to step up the fight against extremists.

proud of my kingdom for having a wise monarch that truly cares about peace and people. never act loud to show the world how wise they are..and happy to see Americans happy to see their leader is honored by my country even the insults he made,because Saudis know that once he gets in the top he would see a different picture and will know how hard it is to keep the work of peace without a mutual respect. hope American people become so critical about their media because its going to dystory this country through spreading the hatred by manipulating american values. i am a Saudi live in USA and it makes me sad to see Americans hate each other because they elected a different president! just know that prosperity does not come from anyone unless you all accept and respect each other choices and work together for a better future. peace and love to all.

Husam Munibari This was a good DIPLOMATIC speech. It is also backed up by the actions he has already taken in Syria and Afghanistan. "Walk softly and carry a big stick"- President Abraham Lincoln. President Trump does know about Saudi participation and support for jihad. He is trying Diplomacy. We all, Muslim and Christian, need to pray that this works to effectively counter all spread of jihad ideology.
@bgdg3237 жыл бұрын
Actually the quote is "speak softly, and carry a big stick." By Theodore Roosevelt.
@philorg17 жыл бұрын
Thanks bgdg323, You are right. At least we have stopped the disastrous and divisive narrative that IRAN are the good guys that should be rewarded for their efforts at stopping terrorism. And changed that to reflect more truthfully that IRAN are one of the leaders of sponsoring and funding worldwide terror. We shall see how Saudi Arabia reacts/responds to this. They too can do much more to "eradicate" ISLAMIC imperialistic supremacy from the earth so we can all live in peace. "You have your religion and I have mine..." just like Mohamed said when he was in Mecca and only managed to convert 100-150 to Islam while he was preaching peace and tolerance for 13 years. Then from 625 to 635 he managed to "convert" the entire Middle East.

kelanex, Trump worked on the speech closely with his advisor Stephen Miller, who sees eye to eye with him on most issues. The report is that the president spent much of the 12 hour flight to Saudi Arabia working on the speech. Trump said exactly what he wanted to say.
@skoda83497 жыл бұрын
Because it's filled with emotional platitudes that don't mean anything. I thought the speech was extremely shallow and without any sort of meaning or direction, there is 0 depth to it. Thank you for a President, for having the boldness to bring up the true heart of the matters of terrorism and it's victims, to bring up the persecutions of Christians, for standing up and pointing out that there really is an evil that must be confronted by the forces of good, for daring to make that distinction in the heart of Islam. It's been a long time since we've seen this kind of courage, determination and honesty and a boldness to actually speak it. To appeal to the best of humanity to face up to the worst of inhumanity and make the point boldly and as plain as can be. To actually speak the words "God" and "pray" and "evil" in the world that has been conditioned to feel those words are politically incorrect, again that was good to hear.

Al-Muttaqûn .(Al-Muttaqûn means the pious )

You are absolutely correct. The word Christian in the USA has a political meaning. Jesus said "Blessed are the peacemakers for they are the children of God" but the USA is a warlike nation. The Republicans look upon many people who call themselves Christians (but not all) as Republican voters because they emphasize sexual things (as do Moslems) and Jesus never mentioned abortion or homosexuality. The killing of Bin Laden WAS A REVENGE KILLING. Hitler killed himself. However if Islam was a peaceful religion they should have arrested Bin Laden and put hm on trial and if found guilty, he should have been sent to prison. Both Islam and much American Christianity is based on revenge. Mohamed spoke of revenge but Jesus did not.

While he prays for the day when the people of Iran can get the government they deserve, I note that he didn't ask the people who live under dictatorships like Saudi Arabia to pray for the day when they can get the government they deserve, the day when women aren't treated as less than second class citizens, when people are not imprisoned,flogged or beheaded for opposing the government. Of course not. He would never say that to the dictators of these countries who are our friends.

It's a speech of desperation, both for America and their Arab allies, they know they are losing the many conflicts they started, it's also obvious just how much they still hate each other, and both know, they have no choice but to pretend they're still friends, in a vain attempt to show a united front, when in reality, they are divided to the core.
