@@maseratifittipaldi Nope, the number of people who are connected is just as important. Mbalula really hit the nail on the head when he mentioned this topic. I personally have seen the speed at which anc have connected previously disadvantaged people, even after they build low cost homes and communities they are very speedy in connecting electricity. People always conveniently like to gloss over anc's achievements just so that they can hammer on about its failures. Regardless of whether we like or hat the anc we should always be honest about it just like we are always honest about the failures and achievements of the apartheid regime. Heck even people who are still living in tribal huts in South African villages have electricity! We also forget that even if theft and corruption was not a factor, Democratic South Africa still would have not had the time and budget to build plants fast enough to meet the connection rate. Building a single plant takes almost 10 years, while connecting a community takes 1-2 years. So in that 10 year period where you are still spending a trillion rand on a new single plant, you have probably connected enough new people to the grid that you actually need two new plants at the end of that 10 year period.

USA/EU started the war in Ukraine by staging a coup in 2014 that removed the democratically elected government of Ukraine at the time, replacing it with a regime appointed by Victoria Nuland (see the leaked audio tapes prior to the coup). They empowered the neo-Nazi fascists such as Azov and Right Sector into their politics and military and cracked down on Russian culture in the country leading to the eastern Russian speaking regions to seek independence from Ukraine. Ukraine then tried to crush this movement by killing 15,000+ since 2014 by shelling and war. Thus, the US/EU started this civil war in 2014 with their political games fermenting a coup to remove democracy and push Ukraine via a puppet regime towards the US/EU alliance (all likely to get Ukraine into NATO in some sick continuation of Cold War geopolitics). The US/EU armed Ukraine, trained it, all in preparation of crushing the people of the Donbas. These people hate Ukraine and don't want to be part of the Bandera fascist loving ideology in Kiev (repeated polls, all convenient dismissed by the West, show this). Next came the Minsk accords, which now has on record, heads of the EU and Zelensky himself, admitting that it was a complete farce aimed at buying time to arm Ukraine all while Russia was trying to solve the situation diplomatically (along with NATO expansion and Ukraine's neutrality and Russian security in light of the fact that NATO is an aggressive US run military alliance that happily bombed harmless Libya into the failed state it is today). As expected, the mainstream media spoon feeds the US/EU drooling citizen sheep a kindergarten narrative of a 2nd Hitler bend of retaking Europe (and half of them are stupid enough to believe it) but anyone that looks at the timeline of how this war unfolded, clearly sees the US (and its EU puppets) playing their usual geopolitical games (as they did in Georgia leading to war there) and absolutely all of this could have been easily avoided. The amusing result, highlighting how utterly inept Washington/EU leadership is, is that the EU/US have managed to unify Russia with China, all while the revolving door of EU politicians tow the US line.
