Now it’s the norm for videos to be in the 4-5 hours, and 10+ hours of Potus Aeducan going from dishonored prince to Second Aeducan Paragon and Warden Commander clapping all kinds of cheeks is an absolute treat.

I’ll admit I’m more biased towards the human noble origin because of the connection you build with your family and servants, but can’t save any of them. Only you are left with your family’s shield and sword till your brother is found at the end. So you’re playing through as though you are the last of your family that was second only to the king and where well loved by the people. Now struggling to build an army while being hunted and despised by the country that loved and respected you before.

I like the Dwarven noble one as later in the game you can work for Balen and betray him back at the last second. 😂 But my favorite Origin is probably Human noble, the fight with Arl Howe is really satisfying especially if you carried your family's sword to defeat him with it. I also believe Loghain retreating wasn't an absolute betrayal...but King Calen had greatly underestimated the threat and his battle plan was honestly kind of dumb. The King actually should have retreated further in to the ruins to create a bottle neck. Or a much better defensive position in the Hinterlands while the Darkspawn regrouped. Loghain though should have made an effort to rescue the King or at least retrieve him, then his retreat wouldn't have looked like abandoning his king. However, the fact Loghain starts a civil war during a blight in a power grab was idiotic.

Always thought it was funny that Donald isn’t on board with wanting to keep the mages around. He wants the money and fat stacks but forgets that mages, more than templars(I think), buy lyrium more. So if they stay and are integral to stopping the blight, that just means there’s more fat sacks of gold in the future when the dwarves get things settled in the future and can retake thaigs to find more lyrium veins and thus make more money

this was great, really good work. though i will say a lot of out of game commentary such as explaining the dwarven king vote was repeated a lot and over explained, as was a lot of meta gaming stuff. you essentially had "3 people" explain the same things a different way consecutively which dragged a bit. apart from that everything else was awesome, that banter was great

Does anyone think Flemeth is also Andraste? There's statues all over Fereldan and Orlais of a long haired woman in armor, some even have a faceless horned helm like a Saarebas, suggesting magery. She was betrayed. She fought impossible odds. Solas created the Veil so for all intents and purposes he's essentially the Maker unless the real one actually shows up in Veilguard.

I feel like even if the battle of ostagar had been won with Loghain that the blight still would've continued, but for MUCH longer as the arch demon would've waited a lot longer to reveal itself. Think about it, if you're an old god brought back as an arch demon you ARE sentient. So if you lose the first major battle of the war you're gonna take it much slower. So ultimately Obama is right about ostagar, no matter the outcome of that battle, the arch demon wouldn't have appeared in either case the one we saw, and the one I just explained. Loghain's biggest mistakes as we all know came after.

54:27 Actually, we DO know the time to travel between at least two locations: it takes roughly 2 weeks to travel between Orzamar and the Circle Tower. 2:17:15 I definitely think Ostagar could have been won with Loghain's army, but the war definitely wouldn't have been won there. Several Grey Wardens and far more soldiers almost definitely would have survived, but Cailen probably still would have died due to his need to be in the thick of the fight - difference being that no civil war would have been started from this version of his death. The Blight would probably last longer, as described by someone else, but Ferelden would be more fit to fight back, at least at first. The longer Blight would more than likely be far more destructive despite the more powerful Ferelden army, probably spreading into nearby nations or those nearby nations, such as Orlais, seeing how bad it's getting in Ferelden and sending in their armies to help without permission in the hopes of preventing the spread to their nations. 4:50:43 Obama's thoughts are almost exactly the same as mine.

It's stated layer on that no matter what, there was no winning at ostagar. The game doesn't do a good job of showing it but Redcliffe is a substantial part of the ferelden army and the dwarves, elves and circle forces are also much larger than you see on screen. There was no winning without killing the archdemon and forcing the horde to retreat

While I also agree with Barack that they require control so they do not snap worse than a 40 K psyker. Honestly, I wish Dragon age experimented more with the concept of necromancy instead of demonology where the undead would be a much better counter against the dark spawn and require a longer build up instead of just instantly summoning demons and having everything run amok.
