Damn Mitch, looking good dude! I'm definitely ordering one of these from Sweetwater. I was drooling over the Studiolive 16.4.2 AI for the last couple of weeks, and now THIS hits...this is the one piece of gear I have been dreaming about for YEARS. The price and functionality are stellar. No idea when these will actually ship, but I Sweetwater has always done me proper. I'm stoked!

Mitch - Great video.. and I am happy with my 16.4.2AI, however I prefer the 32 channels, recallable pre's, footpritn, and many other features of the new RM32AI - QUESTION> What is the easiest/most efficient way to do an external effects loop? REASON being.. that I use a stereo looper pedal quite a bit (loop guitar, vocal, bass etc), and I currently use the Aux in A as well as (2) of the Aux outs on my 16.4.2AI to accomplish this.. (works very well). This is currently a requirement that I can do the same type of external effects loop with the new stuff?-CAN/HOW can I accomplish this with the RM32AI - After I know, I'll pre-order - ha THANKS!

Is the RM32 AI software updateable to the new versions of the StudioLive 32 rack?

Great piece of art! I was wondering if it's possible to use third party plugins such as AU and VST for adding more effects capability?

+Andy Iman yes of course. Use any DAW, add the effects and return them to any channel on the RM

I was going to get the Behringer X32, now I'm considering this and a 27" + touchscreen monitor. More flexibility

I designed my studio using a StudioLive 24R with dedicated rooms. USB to my PC with a Viewsonic 27" touch screen. Plenty of real estate for the UC mixer. The best studio I've built yet! -Adam Wisdom

This looks amazing! Although I have three questions. First: can you use this with a different DAW like Logic X or Reaper? And secondly (and kind of a newbie question I admit), but what is the purpose of the XLR mix outputs if you already have a main output to your studio monitors? Are they for headphone amplifiers or different kinds of speakers that you'd use more in a live sound situation (such as huge PA systems). Thirdly on the subject of headphone amplifiers is this compatible with any? Thanks!
@TheRickdoggie8 жыл бұрын
+IV Tympanistam Yes, absolutely! The RM Mixers are compatible with ProTools, Logic, Reaper and any other DAW. The XLR Mix Outputs are for Aux Sends or Subgroups. So for example, in a live sound situation, you could use those to feed either wedges or In Ear Monitoring systems. But in the studio, you could use the mix outputs to feed headphone amps so you could send separate mixes to multiple musicians. Lastly, the headphone amplifier will feed any brand of headphones with no problems.

Is there an option for DAW mode to just connect to Studio One Pro and not have to use the preset universal control software for it?

Hey Mitch, looking good man. Congrat. This new system by Presonus is impressive. They are doing great.. Greetings from Mexico.

Curious on Mitch's thoughts on using this device for studio work via a touch screen monitor vs a real mixing console?

Hi Mitch, does this have some sort of DAW control included so, say, if you were recording alone, you could use this without having to switch back and forth from DAW to this in order to arm tracks, record, rewind, etc?
@mitchgallagher275510 жыл бұрын
The RM32ai does not have built-in DAW control. You could use, for example, a PreSonus FaderPort to give you this sort of control; it will happily run alongside the RM32ai

So we are having a terrible time with controlling the AI unit wirelessly and wired. So we have a new Wireless N router and iPad. But there is a terrible delay in adjusting the FOH and Mixes. Also using an HP60 for IEM and the users are also having this delay. We can turn the units off and on a few times and then we are able to get it working. But its certainly not seamless. Any help?
@TheRickdoggie8 жыл бұрын
+Mike Newhook Hmmm. That's definitely not normal. Did you update to the latest version of software/firmware? If not, you should definitely do that first. Secondly, you are welcome to open a support ticket with PreSonus and they can help you get this sorted. Go to support.presonus.com .
@mrmetrontech778 жыл бұрын
The issue is firmware related. We had to degrade the firmware to get it working. Presonus is aware of the issue
@TheRickdoggie8 жыл бұрын
+Mike Newhook There is a new firmware version that will be launched next week that will have the fix for this. It has already been addressed with the public beta version that has been out for a few weeks. But if you download the new firmware next week, you should be in great shape.

How do you control when wifi goes down?

I don't like when stores do product reviews, because if you're selling the product I can't imagine you saying anything bad about it.

Is it possible to control the mixer without a router or wifi?
@mitchgallagher275510 жыл бұрын
No, you have to have a router to get control information into the mixer.
@RobertoSunga10 жыл бұрын
But what if you go to a venue that doesn't a router or wifi available? How would you control the mixer? Same thing applies to the Behringer X32 rack
@DaleChristenson10 жыл бұрын
Roberto Sunga Get your own router.
@mitchgallagher275510 жыл бұрын
Dale Christenson Yes, that is correct - you can use your own router with the PreSonus mixers, and basically it sets up your own little network that you can take with you.

Mitch Gallagher I thought you could use a cat 5 cable to connect to a computer? IS that correct.
