The template idea is wonderful.. I just bought Presonus Series 3 32 ch mixer and it comes with studio one 3 pro also.. I was using version 2 pro and really love it. I will be watching more of your videos to get use to the new mixer.

Hi David, this was a crucial lesson, because I never had a real comparison to my final mix, whether it sounds better or worse than the raw files, which could be quite embarrasing.. your work flow is simple and works perfectly, so many thanks for this lesson, just one question, probably interesting for your live stream (for me it is too late in the night (or too early in the morning): what do you think about normalizing the song ( -0.5 to - 1.0 db) as first step of the mastering work flow, I have seen this in another video tutorial. Usually I bring up the total volume in the master section to this level, buffered by a limiter at the end of the chain ? Best Regards Robert

I am sure you will cover this in the next video but this one is just Static Mix with no Gain Staging in it at all. So you set up all the track levels and then give the song a listen through and save it. I am guessing #18 will be all gain staging .I also listen to your last Live web cast and on the thoughts of PRIME user which I am now (REASON user now) I did get very frustrated using prime 1st off I could not get it to record notes from PRESENCE XT I could hear the notes from it but I had no idea it was just a sampler no where on it does it say this as I loaded Prime on my home comp with no MIDI on it so all mouse just to see it in action. I did look around the web and found there are 3 levels of artist and would need $ to get the vst and mp3 plug-ins. my ? is say you got both of those are you then able to buy use other plug-ins marked as pro only? meaning artist you cant buy VST that are marked as for pro and above which I have no idea what is above PRO . UBER PRO? lol You have a awesome series here .My note book is full. One last thing I have been looking everywhere for a plug-in that has a SLIDE GUITAR / LAP STEEL pink floyd Gilmour uses it . This day and age someone must have it in or on its own plug-in.

No matter what I do I can not get S1-3 Professional to show my Waves plugins in the Effects Browser.... EDIT: Figured it out, had to make my s13 run in 32bit mode. Problem solved.
