What a beautiful family David has now! His wife and daughter are the strength David needed. The memory of Michael and Alex lives on in all of us who watched all these events unfold from the beginning. I cried and occasionally still do for the heartbreak and passing of these wonderful sweet little boys! So from Alaska, God bless David and his sweet family . I pray that those darlin little boys rest in peace and that David and his family can have times of joy through all of this. ❤️🙏🏻

In '95, she was convicted of murder, which carried a penalty of 30 years to life in prison. The SC General Assembly changed the law to its current form of life without parole in 1996 in response to the Smith case. But sadly, the new law doesn't apply to Susan Smith.

She took the lives of two beautiful children, this is a pain that never goes away. This family remembers Micheal and Alex everyday! Having to attend a parole hearing is an unnecessary hurt that this family should not have to endure. Life means life. She took two in my book,She should not be entitled to a parole hearing . God Bless this family and continue to give them the strength to fight for those babies. I pray God gives them a moment each day where they can find peace.

That's why this is even more of a tragedy. She was convicted in 1995. The jury was under the impression that she was actually going to get life. In 1995 life in SC, meant life with the possibility of parole after 30 years. The law didn't change until 1996. When questioned, the jury had chose life because they thought it would be worse for her to spend her life in jail, thinking everyday why she was there. So don't blame the jury, they wanted her in there until her death
