As a Liverpool fan, this is what I don’t understand about spurs. They have the highest win rate against Man City the best team in league. At the same, time they lose other matches and don’t win a cup. It seems we can even understand how universe works but not how spurs work.

Winning a cup is a different issue because that's the past and this is a new team and manager so see how they do this season and especially the next couple. In terms of losing easy matches, young team, still building. In terms of timeline it's on track. They can win big games, consistency is now top of agenda. Watch this space...

Don’t panic, we’ll come back good given time and pay the consequences in the interim. Well played Spurs, superb performance with an excellent manager. It wasn’t that we played badly, except for the last goal, when Akanji just watched the ball go past him to a Spurs player and made no effort to challenge for it ! The difference here is that Spurs took their chances and we didn’t. It we had it could have been 5-4 !! The players confidence must be rock bottom, but a good couple of wins could change all that.

We had chances in our last 4 games before we played Spurs and lost. You can’t use that as an excuse. We’re a poor, aging squad of players with a manager who picks players based on reputation rather than current form. You’ll probably get beat by a mediocre team next week. Spurs are just an average team, but City are so awful it makes you believe you’re better than what you are.
