Yeah, Ange had similar conversations with a player by the name of Thomas Broich. The guy was experiencing depression and wanted to retire after playing a couple of matches in the Bundesliga. Ange travelled all the way to Germany for a chat and convinced him to play in the A-league. The rest was history. Broich ended up winning the best and fairest player award in the A-league after rekindling his love for football in Australia.

As an Australian who is delighted to see Ange coming on strong, all I can say is that he is a winner. We won our only major trophy the AFC championship with Ange and the team played so well. Watching him progress from Japan to Scotland and now at the top tier in the EPL, I think it's highly likely that Spurs will win big. AngeBall Woof!

Ange has a great knack of turning player's lives and careers around. At Brisbane Roar he worked his magic and transformed a few 'ugly ducklings' into champions and leaders. Not just on the field either. Celtic's bank balance is as healthy as its playing stock thanks to shrewd business from the Greco-Melburnian. Best of all is our man in the UK doing the game of football in Australia proud.

Joe.. So honest about the fact he puts his family first.. Truth and decency which really counts where Ange is concerned. I enjoy Joe's excellent analysis of football on M. O. T. D. and media in general. His intellegent assessments are delivered with fluency, pointing to a career in punditry... All the best Joe!

I believe in Ange. The Spurs fans are so fickle. I have followed Spurs since the 60s and the up until the 90s they were semi successful. In the past 23 £evy years 1 trophy, so I don't understand their entitlement. Let's not forget Ange was £evy's last choice, no one wanted to work with him. Even if Ange doesn't break Spurs duck? At least he would have got them playing exciting football, rather than the recent years of dross.

In some respects i feel sorry for joe Hart because people keep saying he can't play with the ball at his feet ,but he was a gk and you want your gk to make saves,i mean you wouldnt refuse to sign messi because his defensive game isnt all there, joe is a great keeper, and a great guy and he was the perfect fit at parkhead we needed a gk we could believe in and trust and he needed to be loved again ,he was brilliant for feltic on the pitch and a perfect ambassador off the pitch i thi k he coukd have continued for maybe 2 more seasons but he went out the way he deserved. A champion and with the fans who took him to their hearts cant wsitvto see big joe pulling on the celtic shirt in a legends game cos he is a legend

Ange will be know as one of the greatest managers ever when he has seen out his career mark my words. Been watching him since he was coaching the Australian youth squad and then came to Brisbane after a fair bit of success at south Melbourne his home club. He has all the attributes and qualities of the great managers like jock stein and Alex Ferguson. They are working class people who came from the pitch and use their working class management style of getting the best out of individuals and bringing a group of players to believe in a bigger vision and doing what is required of them individually to collectively achieve what they are trying to achieve wether it be playing an exciting brand of football the supporters can get behind or having the club from the players to the back room staff to the supporters to be a part of a vision collectively. But to be able to come in to any club anywhere in the world who have come off the back off no success and no vision to within a short period of time getting everyone involved behind the vision. And every single occasion anywhere in the world he’s been even at the national level bringing Australia our first trophy in winning the Asian cup, he has delivered and in a big way. Ange established himself jock stein like status at Celtic and that is a massive deal. I would argue he is even tactically better than pep.

Ange is a good man. Immigrant mentality. The Europeans that went to Australia worked hard. Assimilated. Didn't take advantage of the system. Did it tough and help build Australia. Ange came from that background. He kept his feet on the ground. Took pride in his culture and the new culture his parents adopted. Became Australian/ European. Not like today. The system is being used. People want to change the culture. Come in with arrogance. Give the country of adoption the middle finger. Then they yell racist. Meanwhile they are the actual racists. Good on you Ange! Big heart and just an old fashioned bloke.
