Real spurs fans know we have a special man at the helm with Ange. On their day, Tottenham play some of the most attractive football in the league. It’s all about attaining consistency now. Only way is up for Tottenham, COYS
@GBGOLC3 күн бұрын
Hold your horses, I expect all wins including Chelsea in the next four games up until Liverpool. If we can do that then I’ll take all my words against Ange because I personally think he’s not the guy.
@shanillaice97813 күн бұрын
@ that’s fair, I totally agree that we should win our next four especially with Chelsea being at home. But I’m interested in if Ange is not the man for Spurs, who do you think is? Under Ange, it is the most attractive football we’ve had in years. Got to give the guy time.
@GBGOLC3 күн бұрын
@ I will admit that I am bias. I’ve never liked Ange. Since March-April, I’ve wanted him gone. But every manager does need time. The transfer window was problematic for me because we generally brought no first team starters. The Newcastle, Chelsea and Brighton games did it for me. I did have a sneaky suspicion the we would win at Manchester City, but not by 0-4. Like I said, if we win the next four games that will show me consistency and I may start warming to Ange. Seeing that you asked me about mangers. I’ve always like Adi Hutter, the current Monaco coach. Big strong athletic powerful players with strong technical ability. Aggressive high pressing football a bit like Poch. Entertainment with wins.

Aside from Rodri’s absence creating a huge hole in the middle, particularly in transition where City are wide open. City’s biggest problem is they have no width with both Doku out and De Bruyne just returning from injury. The likes of Grealish, Silva, and Savinho always predictably cut back inside to recycle the ball and Walker never puts the ball into the box. What makes Doku and De Bruyne unique in City’s attack is Doku actually provides width by taking players on down the line. And De Bruyne not only provides width with his underlapping runs but is the only City player who is willing to play aggressive passes that stretch opponents back lines. And, very importantly, provides Haaland with first time service before opposition defenders get set that virtually none of his other teammates consistently do.
@adrianmarrinan77073 күн бұрын
Its the same with most teams, wide players on the wrong side, 1 trick ponies....no service or slow service into the box. What is the point having fast wide players if they have to stop and turn and then try to cross. Must be very frustrating to be a striker. The build up play from city yesterday was sooo slow and predictable, easy pickings for counter attacks. Genius manager if he has 11 world class players on the pitch....never a Plan B!

Kuluvseski RW adds a completely different level to the attack. As good as he has been in midfield, Maddison is good enough to play there and with a dodgy defence you need to defencively minded midfielders behind him. Johnson did what hes been doing, getting in the right area for a tap in but his overall game is poor. Its a fairly potent front 3, skill power and pace if they can stay fit and get a run of games together. Seems to be a group that likes to pick up injuries which is a shame as it stops any momentum.
