Hello, Thank you so much for doing this video.. I had been contemplating buying PRESSURE FRYER for my home. While knowing this would be better for when I’m frying for about 30 people, I wanted to know how to get the same results for party wings. Can you tell me what time is best for frying party wings? Thanks in advance
@SamsFoodChronicles8 ай бұрын
I thinkthe wings would take a shorter time. Best way to know for sure is to test a batches. Fry it for 3 mins, then , 5 mins and compare doneness. But I wouldn't recommend frying that many in a small pressure cooker. The last thing you want is to overload it and potentially make it explode. To fry 30 wings at the same time try going for a 12 quart pressure cooker or bigger. Something like this amzn.to/3T7zKWn Oil shouldn't be more than halfway up

You can if the pressure cooker has a solid locking mechanism and has an over-pressure safety release valve. I use a lower drop temperature and a lower cook temperature with a longer cook time, but my cook time can vary depending on how many pieces I'm putting in the fryer at the same time.

All stovetop pressure cooker manuals will say to NOT use the pc for pressure frying (liability concerns). The best pc for frying should use a SILICONE gasket. Avoid those with a RUBBER gasket.

Is it safe to fry in a pressure cooker.
@SamsFoodChronicles6 ай бұрын
Well - not all pressure cookers. Check yours first. But mine is safe yes. But you have to follow the safety parameters. I didn't overload with oil, I kept it about 1/3 of the height of the pot, I listened to ensure not too much pressure was building up and I maintained proper heat. I also didn't overcrowd.

@SamsFoodChronicles6 ай бұрын
Let me look up that pressure cooker and get back to you
@SamsFoodChronicles6 ай бұрын
Okay. So 4 quarts is very small. I would say go bigger. And I looked at the mirromatic brand and they tend to use aluminum. I would not try it in an aluminum pot. Might be too risky. Presto is my favorite affordable pressure cooker to date so I would start at 6 quarts and go up about 1/3 with oil and not a lot of chicken all at once. Try this presto amzn.to/44lxbDX

No, it is not safe to use a pressure cooker for oil frying. Oil frying requires high temperatures that can exceed the boiling point of water. A pressure cooker is designed to cook food in water-based liquids under high pressure. If you try to oil fry in a pressure cooker, you risk damaging the cooker, causing an explosion, or starting a fire. You also will not get good results, as the food will become soggy and greasy from the moisture released by the pressure cooker.

I've been frying chicken in a pressure cooker for years and I even bang the pressure fryer on the element and shake it to ensure the pieces don't stick together. Never had a problem. It all depends on how solid the locking mechanism is on the cooker, as well as a backup safety pressure valve in case the dead-weight pressure regulator gets clogged.

Everyone has their own methods for cooking and taste. You saying too many ingredients is your opinion. Doesn't mean right or wrong, but don't criticize someone from doing it differently from what you do. I've been cooking since I was 7 yrs old, I'm 53 yrs old and experimenting with different flavors and spices make for an excellent cook/chef. There are no limits to how food is prepared and you should not place them on anyone creating with their own methods and recipes. If it's good, consistent, and is enjoyed by all who consume it, that's all that matters. It's not your money being spent so don't worry about it.
@mrkanarya19074 ай бұрын
@@EllenCannon-l5l yes but in the end you deep frying it so it doesn't make sense, if you do pan saute this ingredients you put will give flavor but when you deep fry it, won't. Make a sauce afterwards with all that no problems but before frying, come on no legit chef will do that. Simplicity is the best way in cooking. E.g Italian greek Turkish food , simple and nice.
