Thanks I am new to pressure cooking and have used My PKP5L for the first time today and I am delighted with it........a beef stew in 30 minutes!.incredible tender meat and so tasty....vegetables taste amazing!

Mine is different. I got PKP6L. It has a front knob for functions and time. It doesn’t have arrows on the pot or the lid that’s why I am really struggling to close and open it, I even thought of returning it back.

Mine doesn’t have a porridge setting, in the place of it there is a pasta setting. So which setting do I do for porridge?

Nah for that people have OVENS. This is a PRESSURE COOKER.

I don't get why use plastic for a steaming in a pressure cooker..such high heat and pressure is going to leach out plastic into your food..How is that healthy.? Why don't you put some thought while designing cookware? .I would recommend using stainless steel / copper for all the parts that comes in contact with food.

Because heat resistant plastic exists? Otherwise microwave plastic products wouldn't exist...

@@ilir1989 I agree that heat resistant plastic exists but there is lot of studies showing plastic slowly leaches into food ( have been shown to have links to cause cancer) that is why we should try to reduce plastic and either switch to glass or metal based utensils where possible. Microwaving food in plastic containers for longer times is not good for health. They could have easily used a metal for this purpose.

does not tell you how long it takes to cook a stew for example,i have got a pressure cooker that i use on the gas cooker and when that gets up to pressure it takes 5 mins

Very unhappy...first it only takes 3,5 litres unless you count the air space above the liquid, next every time I plug in it goes to "Browning" and I cannot get the lid on....what a crock..John
