For what it’s worth I pressure wash our stone patio in the spring, give it a couple of days to dry and then use Patio Magic. For for a year and makes clearing it again in the following spring much easier.

I've been using Wet & Forget diluted 5/1 for 3 years on my concrete drive, on my motorhome roof and family grave stones and it works a treat putting it on once a year. Make sure the area being treated is bone dry, drench the area with Wet & Forget making sure that there's no rain forcast in the next 6-8 hours, and the rain will do it's work each time it comes. It may take 3-4 weeks to do its business but it keeps giving whenever it rains. It works for us in wet Wales 👍

I have used Wet and Forget for over 20 years and can highly recommend it. Regular treatment is needed on some surfaces especially the black lichen type marks. I had an area of flagging that was covered in the black marks and my power washer could not remove them despite several attempts. However after applying Wet and Forget 3 times a year after two years the flags are now clear of any marks. I by it from Costco at a much better price. Great product!

With respect you havent given it long enough. Sure you got surprisingly good results quickly on wood, but the instructions clearly state that results take time. Its months not days or weeks and it depends on the prevailing weather conditions too. I have used this and my neighbours commented how clean the block paving was - but that was one year after a single application. Now, there is a new product called Wet and Forget Rapid - and this does work much quicker in the timeframe that you were applying. Worth trying that if you expect results after just a few weeks instead of months.

All these types of treatment work really well on wood. I use Patio Magic, but power hose first, apply PM when slabs are bone dry and brush kiln dried fine sand into the joins.

In my experience, you need both Wet and forget and the pressure washer on hard surfaces. The wet and forget kills the moss and algae then the pressure washer blasts the lot away. I tend to wet and forget one weekend and then pressure washer the next.

Hi and thanks for watching. I’ve currently got a Karcher K4. I’m going to have to test your suggestion against Wet & Forget. I also plan to show the longer term differences between the pressure washer and cleaning solutions.

You'd have been better off using Sodium Hypochlorite at a dilution of 2 to 3. Cheaper and alot better for stone. Monty Miracle is good for wood but wuite expensive for what it is

If you add the chemical to water it will eliminate the foaming.

Thanks for commenting. When I compared Patio Magic to Wet & Forget before buying, I noticed they both had the same active ingredient (Dimethylbenzyl), however Patio Magic is 7.5%, whereas Wet & Forget is 9.9%. So in theory, Wet & Forget has a stronger concentration. I might purchase some Patio Magic this summer and run a comparison test between the two, to see if there is any real world difference between the two products.

I use MMC Pro which I believe is an industrial strength version of Patio Magic. Works brilliantly

@@keithreed5009 Thanks for commenting and sharing your experience. I've checked MMC-Pro and that uses Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride (DDAC) whereas Wet & Forget uses Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride (ADBAC). I don't know which one preforms better, DDAC is apparently slightly less toxic and potentially more environmentally friendly. I might have to compare the two to see which works better!

Whatever you use will probably end up in the nearest river, I live close to a culvert that runs into the river, the water is sometimes white and it’s shocking how many plastic bags of dog stuff comes out of it, people must put them down drains in the road thinking they go into sewage.

you dilute it 5 to 1 and it takes weeks to work not days .

As stated in the video, I test both a neat concentration as well as a diluted mixture. The diluted concentration in my video is nearer to 3.5 to 1, and can you can see the difference in effectiveness on the blocked driveway. If I tried a 5 to 1 concentration as you suggest, that would only dilute it further making it less effective. Wet & Forget also mentions on the container to use a stronger concentration if contamination is heavy. You mention it takes weeks not days to work; this video shows results after 3 months, how many weeks do you suggest?

A pressure washer is a temporary solution, Wet and Forget is a far longer answer. Plus pressure washers can damage patios and brickwork

Better using a pressure washer for 5 minutes to get the results than 12 months for some snake oil to perform miracles
