The reason this work ethic doesn't exist is because of the previous generation not teaching it to them, etc. Plus you import a bunch of people to do the jobs that the supposed Americans don't want to and boom, you have your current dilemma. Not that I'm trying to start a fight with people, but it's just a matter of fact. I'm in my 40's now and from Texas, my father taught my brothers and I, that you have to get your hands dirty and how to fix things around the house, etc. The work ethic is there, but as I said when the previous generations (like your fathers one) allowed the country to slip into what it is now, what else do you expect? It will only continue to affect the generations into the future because you've imported too many people, it will take jobs away from them, continue raising the cost of living and most of those kids won't be able to afford homes and be debt slaves for the majority of their lives.

@tradtke1018 ай бұрын
@@andycristiana1043 There are weird similarities between OCD and ADHD. Overmedicated ADHD patients on excessive stimulant doses will often display behaviors much like OCD people. And when not medicated, we fantasize about being OCD while living in total squalor unable to do the task at all, let alone repetitively. I have severe ADHD and there's few things I enjoy more than taking my stimulants and getting my life and apartment cleaned and organized. But it's more pleasure than compulsion, especially since I know the drive to clean will naturally fade and taper off with the meds. It makes sense though. ADHD is a terrible name; it's an impulse control disorder that is named after the specific academic features of the disease. I don't know much about OCD, but seems to me that "impulse" and "control" are key features of the problem. Definitely not the same disease or a mirror reflection of each other, but if you look at it on the impulsivenesslethargic axis instead of the anxietydepression axis, theres a lot in common i think.
@andycristiana10438 ай бұрын
@tradtke101 they've told my daughter she has add and cleaning/organizing or any "big" task is so procrastinated. Myself, I envision the project and can't wait to start, kind of an "attack" mode haha we are kind of opposites, but when she does get around to cleaning/organizing, she does an amazing job 😃 ** I need my surroundings to be somewhat clean and organized around me or I might go berserk. Some days, maybe once every 3 months, I get so messed up with my surroundings I literally cry and feel closed in and need to start throwing stuff out. My mind needs a minimalist way of living, and with my family, that's not too easy haha
@tradtke1018 ай бұрын
@@andycristiana1043 if you haven't seen Dr Russel Barkley's lectures for parents of ADHD kids here on YT, you absolutely must! It's long but broken down into 20-30 minute increments that are very digestible. I think it's the absolute #1 best resource for parents of ADHD kids. Also, I understand what you mean about tidiness. I always say "tidy house, tidy mind." I was in the Army when I was younger and it mostly sucked, but some of the skills and discipline especially with tidiness and organization really helped my ADHD. I flunked out of college beforehand and got a 3.9 gpa my second go at school, after the army. When my life gets out of hand, forcing myself to clean up and organize the house is really my reset button that lets me then start fixing other aspects of life that got left behind. One skill your daughter might benefit from for dealing with procrastination is checklists. Break things down into small steps: instead of "clean up", it's "1. Vacuum bedroom 2. Make bed 3. Clean dishes 4. Etc". It's much more manageable, helps get started, and crossing them off feels good and motivates you to keep going. You can help your daughter by making the checklist for her- with her input. Maybe make a copy and start a binder of checklists if she responds to it. Because making the checklist is the hardest part for us, since you have to mentally walk through the entire process. If you have the list though, you can just start on one discrete task.... but definitely make sure she agrees with the design and arrangement of the checklist and isnt like "this is a stupid and inefficient way to do things". :-) 😀

Honestly, it bothers me so much how many people you do lawns/yards for act like nothing. They appear indifferent to the hours of difficult manual labor you GIVE. With the washing vids I've seen, they seem mostly grateful at the start, react with appropriate levels of happiness at the completion, and even offer to pay you or do nice things like offer you a cold drink. Why do you suppose this is? Great work as always!

Generally the houses he does on the mowing channel are horribly overgrown - these are homeowners that just don’t care. They don’t care about the appearance of the home, they don’t care about the overall appearance of the neighborhood and they just don’t value the upkeep of the home so they aren’t going to value you doing the upkeep either. Pressure washing on the other hand - quite often (like this one) they are houses that do regular upkeep - the lawn looked nice, everything was well kept they just don’t really notice how dirty the concrete is because it got that way slowly over years and they’ve probably never really seen how easily it can be pressure washed back to looking to great. They are appreciative because they already value their home’s appearance and upkeep. That’s my take on things anyway.

Your generosity is touching. Your results are amazing and I'm sure very much appreciated. I noticed that you carry a heavy unit on your back with one arm, and control the pressure wand in another. That looks very tiring. You are strong and very coordinated. I sure hope there is a way to secure it to your back with straps so you have both arms free. Or maybe there is a good reason why you must hold it yourself. I don't know, you're the Professional. Good work.

On average, you can earn $2,000 to $15,000 per million views on KZbin. So if we estimate that he got 5000 per million, he only earned with this ONE video 15000$ (FIFTEEN THOUSAND!) So please dont talk about giving to the community. He does it cause he gets a sihtload of money for it.... XD
