Hey my name is Mike. I bought Doug Ruckers online course. It was worth every penny. I have a Government job, so I power wash part time. I didn’t have time to waste trying to figure out everything on my own. This course cut down my learning curve immensely. Not to mention, I probably would have messed up someone’s house if I wouldn’t have taken it, no joke. Thanks Doug. Mike the Army guy.

That is a great skid. You guys build the skids or have a diy skid kit like the one in the video?
@PressureCleaningSch Жыл бұрын
We build them. I don't really have a DIY skid because so much is determined by the options available and what the customer wants. We have shipped them DIY though once we know what all they want and they feel comfortable with and have the knowledge and experience doing the build themselves.

I like the pump ups in the 5 gallon buckets. Pump up sprayers are typically a pain in the butt to store. I did the milk crates for a while but they are not multi purpose like a 5 gallon bucket can be.

Yeah. That’s an old long time trick. For trailers I like using large pieces of pvc pipe and fasten them to trailer.

A 12v 5.5gpm everflow pump . It does not go very far. Great for 1 story houses.
@PressureCleaningSch3 жыл бұрын
@@Majicman187 what hose size and nozzle. I’d recommend using 5/8 hose. And 0040 or 0050 nozzle. You should be able to get 2 almost 3 stories with that pump.
@Majicman1873 жыл бұрын
I fitted a 5/8 garden hose to the pump and using a Gilmore metal basic gun, I put fittings on it to use pressure washer tips like the soap tip. (All to save every penny I have) I’m doing a bank roof to finish out a complete total bank Properity wash, but it’s 2 story tall and the roof length is extreme to get to the center, I would love to do the majority of the roof from the ground. I spent so much time putting this system together just to come short.
@PressureCleaningSch3 жыл бұрын
@@Majicman187 ok so sounds like it’s a nozzle issue. Really need to try the 0040 or 0050 nozzle. That will get you a straighter stream and should give you the distance your looking for. That pump should give you 30-40 feet easily

Nice video. One point: My Ace Roto-mold (SP0055-MM) 55 gallon tall square bottom tanks ARE marked at 5 gallon increments. Norwesco ( 44855) also says that their 55 gallon tall square bottom tanks have gallon increments marked. Mine are embossed and only on one side. I highlighted mine with a permanent marker.
@PressureCleaningSch4 жыл бұрын
Great point. Every tank I’ve bought has had the scale on them. You can buy them without but I don’t see the point. We did at one time highlight the numbers too, but the marker wears off and we just eventually found we never needed to keep doing it. We poition the tank so we can see the scale if we need to

What size truck do you recommend for softwash/pressure wash business startup with limited money? Are midsized trucks too small? If I get a Chevy 1500 wt or F150 do I need a long bed? Thanks for your time!

King bed would of course be much better as you’ll more room. But a shirt bed will certainly work. Depending on what all you put in it you may want add air bags for the rear shocks.

@@kayaking_j448 it’s been enough. Only time we have ever had an issue is if the water supply was bad but no matter what tank size you have in the water supply is bad you’re gonna have an issue. Awesome set up! Question.. are you still using a normal drum pump for getting bleach into your pump up.. and do you have some kind of drain line for water for the other 50% of the 5050 mix?
@PressureCleaningSch4 жыл бұрын
We use either the Kingslinger to get mix into a pump up. Or when filling out tank we can add some to the pump up and then add water w a garden hose.

Hey Doug, this is my first year power washing and I’m about to upgrade to a set up like you have. One question I have is do you put degreaser in your tank too? I’ve been using 5 gallon buckets with 2oz soap and 2oz degreaser.

Hey Doug, thanks for all the great info! I wish I would have came across your videos a long time ago! With that remote downstream bypass, how do you rinse out your downstream injector? Or do you even need to with that check valve?
@PressureCleaningSch4 жыл бұрын
Every time I switch the remote to rinse it is rinsing out the injector. So the injector actually gets rinsed out multiple times on a job.

Hey Doug, In my area, I need a large water tank. We often have to carry water to wash a house and need a minimum 275 gallon tank. Can this set up be equipped with a larger water tank? Also, houses on municipal water supplies sometimes have less water pressure than we need. I love this set up. I have a friend that used to have a power washing business down in Katy, TX, he’s now a dog trainer and not power washing. When I went down there to help him set up his business years ago, I noticed that all the power washing businesses in the Katy and Houston areas didn’t need large water tanks. Every house was on a municipal supply and the pressure was excellent. Thanks.
@PressureCleaningSch3 жыл бұрын
Yes it could be as long as the tank will fit inside the utility bed. But that’s going to seriously limit your space in the bed
