I’m not able to get a king slinger ATM. Will I have a challenge getting stuff off with down streaming? I’ve only ever used x jet
@PressureCleaningSch2 жыл бұрын
All depends on how bad the organic staining is. Green stuff yes, mild black stuff yes, bad heavy black stuff no. For the bad stuff you'll need to use the x jet, or move your DS injector closer to the gun.

Good afternoon, my question is I have a 250 gal tank and I'm fixing all my Chemicals together. How much HS should I mix in, and how much Surfactant should I mix in all together P.s this is for a Tile Roof that is Dirty momy
@PressureCleaningSch Жыл бұрын
Depends on how big the roof is. But you’ll need a 50/50 mix SH to water. Follow surfactant dilution guidelines on label. Not every surfactant has same mix ratios.

Doug do you recommend in a 5 gallon bucket putting water in first or bleach or doesnt matter? When using xjet. Anyone may answer this thank you

Dough i am from a tropical region in the world. From Cameroon. We build houses here only with bricks. No vinyl sidings like in the US. Pressure washing am doing already. I want to start washing Algae, mould etc on concrete surfaces. What type of equipment will you recomend? I dont think i need a typical US softwash concept. Do you think down stream equipment will be best? Thank you

Yes downstream equipment will work
@britongroves403 жыл бұрын
When downstreaming do you need to cut your bleach or can you just drop your tube in a bucket of straight SH?
@PressureCleaningSch3 жыл бұрын
It really all depends on the surface your cleaning and the degree of staining. I use an 8GPM machine and never dilute. When I used a 4 GPM Sometimes I would cut it a little bit if I was cleaning like vinyl siding or hardy plank

How do you get your wand to spray without having to squeeze the trigger?
@PressureCleaningSch3 жыл бұрын

@@PressureCleaningSch Thanks Doug. I’ve been practicing on a wood fence in my back yard. Very stubborn algae. Straight SH downstreamed with a Simpson 4200/4, and having to blast it with a yellow tip. Wrist, thumb, forearm fatigue has been a big issue. Lots of overlap marks. Taking me 15 minutes just to do each 8x6 panel. I’d need to be TWICE as fast for it to be profitable out in the field. I have been seeing some things on KZbin about a chemical called sodium metasilicate, and another called cleansol BH. Any suggestions on how to speed up my wood game and not have to use so much pressure?

Most downstream injectors get you 8%??? I thought if your using a 10% bleach, the downstream injector brings it all the way down to 1% (if it's a 10 to 1 injector). How do you set it up to put out 8%? Sorry for the newbie question.
@PressureCleaningSch2 жыл бұрын
When I talk about %'s I go by 10-50%, not 1-5%. So if you use the 1-5 then this would be .8, just under a 1%. The 10-50% numbers is what we always used way back when and I just never got use to call them 1-5%.

I have a question if anyone can answer. I'm not sure if I'm right, or severely math-challenged. I'm using straight 10% SH (No dilution) My machine is pulling 7:1 This means I'm spraying 1.25% SH? It's been a long day. If my mix is 50/50, I'm spraying .63% SH? We hope to be up & running within a month. Here in Central Florida.

How to manually figure out your dilution ratio on your pressure washer. Step 1: Check your flow rate on your pressure washer for 1 minute to see how many GPM your pressure washer is putting out. Use a container that measures gallons along the side of it and fill the container up for 1 minute and try to make sure to not allow any water to get out of the container as you are doing this test. (Ideally you will want to do this test with your rinse tip on the end of your wand) Step 2: Test your upstream or downstream injector by getting a metering jug that measures ounces and fill it with water and put your soap line into the metering jug and draw the water for 1 minute. This will allow you to see how many ounces your soap injector is drawing in a minute. Step 3: Doing a little math For example: If you have a 5 GPM pressure washer then you will do the following math to figure out your dilution ratio on your pressure washer. 5 X 128 (128 ounces in 1 gallon)=640 ounces Draw rate in a minute: 40 ounces 640/40= 16 total parts, 15 parts water to 1 part chemical, so your dilution ratio would be 15:1 or some in the industry will say 1:15.
