This is my 1st time engaging in CELPIP Listening. I made 2 mistakes:Q6(I chose B) and the last one(I chose upset).These questions are the exactly dumb Canadian style questions which are easily seen in any Canadian test I have taken including ITA and gun licence tests. I did the entire test without taking any notes, just based on my memory and arrogance. My IELTS listening is 8.0~8.5 level (I have taken IELTS 4 times, the lowest listening mark was 8.0). My initial comments regarding CELPIP are: 1 Typical Canadian test, which means retarded questions are involved. 2 It requires memorization more, which is my strong point. I know my comments may make you feel uncomfortable, but it's OK. I don't give a shit. Lastly, thanks a lot for uploading this practice. Your commitment shall benifit tons of users.

Each test may be different. My advice is people should play to their strengths. Pick the test that you think match your skills better to increase the chance of you getting a good score. Having said that, you're not required to answer questions perfectly to get a good score, so if you make a few mistakes, don't sweat it. If you think IELTS suits you better, I'd recommend that you continue with IELTS. What made you decide to try CELPIP?

@@PrestoEnglish Short story, and you don't have to believe it. I hadn't failed any test since I moved to Canada in late 2014 until my IELTS attempts in 2019. I failed IELTS 3 times in a row this year. 3 different guys in the IETLS industry directly told me IELTS purposely lowers candidates' marks recently. I don't mind if anyone thinks I am finding excuses. Anyway, this is why I moved to CELPIP. While you were typing under my comments, I was doing a full listening test practice. WOW, my result was way lower comparing to IELTS.

Hi, In part-2,question 3, i am bit confuse because first of all women refuse the man's offer for going out for lunch (option-a)may be also right,although option c is also correct that is in the end it is finalized between them about having pizza. please clarify..

Option A may seem correct. It's just the word 'reject' is quite strong and it means you do not agree with it. That is not the case here. If she were not busy, whe would definitely accept the invitation, so she didn't reject the offer. She simply couldn't go. In addition, we probably would say turn down the offer in this situation. If I reject an offer, it means I don't like/I don't agree with the offer.
