I look in detail at the Supera x 9ft rod. The video includes on the bank footage and a full comparison to the Nytro Impax 9ft rod I reviewed earlier this year. Music Happiness by Bensound.com

Your reviews are really detailed. Love how you give the weights of the rods. Tackle manufacturers tend to hide these details. Top marks.

I try to give the detail the manufacturers should give, weights and dimensions are basic information.

Another great review Paul. I can vouch for the Supera in both feeder and wagler absolutely superb rods. More bank action please.
@paulstacklereviews169510 ай бұрын
Will try more bank action, it is difficult to film on your own and often you don’t fish as well as you’re thinking about filming.

A very good clear and concise review,( as usual ) thank you Paul. . I notice quite a large butt ring on the Supera X , strange ,wonder why as the rod is not going to be used for distance casting or using braid . It looks a great rod ,although pricey. The market is well served with 9 footers at all price points, you pay your money and take your pick . Thanks Paul ,regards Dave

Agree all the rings are big for a rod where you won’t be casting far or using a shock leader. Guess all the rods in the range have the same.

Thanks for a great video Paul and I think it's great how you keep it real. I have the 11ft supera x and it's a really great rod and I have had carp over 16ib with no trouble. And it will handle bigger if you play the fish 🐟.

Thanks for the good feedback. I’d love to try the Supera X pellet waggler rod, but even seeing one in a shop is difficult!

I've just bought the guru 11ft pellet wagler rod recently. Which seems a lovely rod to use.

@@adriansmith7058 The A class or N guage? I got the 12ft n gauge feeder rod for long casts on bigger lakes and the Trent...Love it.
@adriansmith705810 ай бұрын
Hi ya Peter it's the n gauge pellet wagler rod and I also have the 12ft n gauge rod and the 9ft rod which is a really lovely rod and a 40grm casting weight. But most of my fishing tackle is Preston which I own to many rods and reels lol.

Hi Paul I use the supera x range waggler and feeder rods too but I also use the 9ft acolyte plus feeder bit more backbone.The 7ft Preston wandzee Is also very nice
@paulstacklereviews16954 ай бұрын
The Acolyte is a bit stronger for sure. I had a wandzee but didn’t really get on with it, unless the peg is heavily overgrown and you need a 7ft rod I don’t think you need to drop below 9ft, but we are all different!

Hi Paul, a nice review, I have the original 9’ supera which is a lovely little rod, which is a great winter rod for skimmers and small fish from an 1 oz upwards I never feel under gunned unless something really big takes my bait but it still copes admirably, I only bought it for snake lake type fishing but now use it most of the time, if you want a small diameter rod have a look at the 9’ N~ gauge it is tiny
@paulstacklereviews16959 ай бұрын
Thanks, the Supera and Supera x are very versatile rods and a 9ft rod is a revelation having never owned one until this year.

Thx Paul another great vid 👏 As for the comparison it wud be Nytro everytime for me. I just couldnt justify paying so much for a rod thats not that much better than the cheaper one especially with the abuse my rods get 😝 Will leave the supera range for the 'tackle tarts' out there 😆😆
@paulstacklereviews169510 ай бұрын
I was really surprised in the small difference between the two rods. I do enjoy using the Supera x.

Thanks Paul, great review. I've been using a cheap 8ft feeder rod for all my snake lake stuff, but that Nytro sounds better for my open water short stuff. Lovely venue in the fishing footage. Where was that?

It was a lovely club water which unfortunately the club lost in April this year when the estate changed hands. A big loss but I’ve joined 2 more clubs and enjoying new waters.

Top review. Looking for a 9ft feeder….tho Preston’s looks great……at £36 would have to go for Nytro for the times I’d use it.

Modern cheap rods are great quality, spending more only brings marginal gains.

I got a 8.6ft frenzee for £30 delivered last year and is absolutely fab you should test this along with these I'd say it's fit in the middle

Great review. Is there much difference between the 9ft and 10ft you have or could you get away with one over the other? Just got the 9ft Supera after owning an Acolyte Plus and I'm glad I made the change
@paulstacklereviews16954 ай бұрын
I love the 9ft, however over 30m casting I use the 10ft as I find you just lose accuracy with the shorter rod. I’m happy using either rod for fish of all sizes. I had the 9ft Acolyte Plus but felt it was too firm and I found myself losing a high proportion of skimmers and smaller fish reeling them in.

Another good one Paul hard to choose. Both look great progressive action rod's is that right. Looking for a good 8ft feeder rod do you know of any Cheers
@paulstacklereviews169510 ай бұрын
Yes they are both progressive and similar actions. I’m moving away from ultra parabolic rods, I don’t think they cast well and sometimes you need control at the net with margin snags and weed.
@alanmeasures833710 ай бұрын
@@paulstacklereviews1695 OK Paul yes like progressive rods don't like though action was hoping you would have done the bag test in the garden like with the 10ft supera so you don't know any descent 8ft was looking at the middy white knuckle sorry for the long text
@paulstacklereviews169510 ай бұрын
I don’t know any 8ft rods I’m afraid. I did try the Preston 7ft but personally didn’t like it and sold it. All the feedback I’ve seen on the Middy short rods has been good.

Nice in drill, looks good, light, perfect blank. But... after a few fishing games where I used textile thread as the main line, the rings or "blunt, red" on the inside. Poor quality rings
