This is not relevant to this chapter, but since George isn’t going to take us to Asshai, I would love it if this project did! I don’t think anything would be more satisfying to me than Asshai revealed as some sort of ancient crypto-technological “island”. Despite my rational knowledge of the equivalence of magic and uncomprehended technology, my science teacher mind wants the latter! Despite his stating that planetos isn’t in the 10,000 Worlds, there’s a harmonic beauty about casting it as such that I think It would be grand enough to meet the gigantic expectations that (at least) I have for a big, all-explaining climax of the story.

There is no way George is finishing TWoW. It's not going to happen. I think his best play, even if Brandon Sanderson IS available, is to just legitimize Preston's work and be done with it. Maybe even reach out and do a direct collaboration.

I was surprised to hear Gilwood Hunter's reason for kneeling was to oust Littlefinger. I thought Maester Willamen was warning him about Black Walder trying to take the Twins from his Half-Hunter niece.

The biggest issue on whether Sweet Robin marches or not depends on who Sweet Robins Regent will be. If the Regent marches with the army or stays in the Vale. If the regent would be politically savvy enough to Keep Sweet Robin close or not. If Littlefinger manages to scheme his way into being the regent and marches, he would 100% take Sweet Robin with him. If Blackfish ends up the regent he would probably not take Sweet Robin with him. So the real question is who will be the Regent of the Vale and how will they be determined? Will the Regent march with the army or stay in the Vale themselves? If the regent marches will they take Robin with them to maintain their control and ensure no one else can gain influence over Sweet Robin? If the Regent marches and leaves Sweet Robin, who is left with him and how does that dynamic play out. Also their is the consideration of how would Sweet Robin react to potentially being separated from Alayne. I could see some people flying if that happens against his will.

It's relatively clear to me that Blackfish will be the regent. And, I don't know, Bronze Jon as the commander? Separating with Alayne is an issue. But, well, is there a real reason for Alayne to march with the army?

One of the ideas I pitched heavily for in the Writer's Discord channel was the idea of Blackfish vs. Littlefinger infighting. Blackfish is a warmonger who only wants revenge and sees Sweets as a pawn. Littlefinger wanted Sansa to be raped so she could be forced to marry Harry and then become Queen of The Vale, The North, and The Riverlands. They both want to use their kids for control of The Vale's army, but for different reasons. I think Littlefinger would be his Regent, though, as he is technically his stepfather. But I also pitched hard for Blackfish to be both the mystery knight AND Lord Commander of the Winged Knights, effectively making him the leader of Sweetrobin's Kingsguard. This means that Blackfish is always present around meetings with Sweetrobin and allows him to see through Littlefinger's bullshit, causing tension and drama in the ranks. In the end, though, Sweetrobin is probably going to legitimize Sansa and she will be crowned as a Queen so it really comes down to what Sansa wants when she realizes that her adopted stepfather and great-uncle by blood are both conniving assholes that don't actually care about her.

Here’s what the plan will be. The Lannisters don’t know that Robin has been declared a king. They still think Littlefinger is their ally and littlefinger is lord of harrenhal. Therefore, Littlefinger will use his lordship to go to harrenhal, and refurnish it to become the stronghold of Robin, before the Lannisters find out. He, Robin and Alayne (and others) will be based there, as the commanders conduct their war. However, what I think will happen is: while en route to Harrenhal, or while traveling from harrenhal, Little finger , Sansa and Robin will fall into the hands of the Beotherhood without Banners. This could mean they are present for Jaimes trial, or they could arrive afterwards.

Great work as usual. It did make some of its own decisions but overall the direction is going strong, looking forward to the emissary! While it was both efficient and long, this came at the cost of Sansa’s agency. This could become a problem if all future povs have a similar rushed format. The pre released TWoW chapters are all somewhat slow, whereas the project has all been very quick.

Some thoughts about the future of Sansa, Sweetrobin and Daenerys (correct me if George already said something different on the matter): I always felt like thematically it was inevitable that Sansa would eventually (have to?) marry Sweetrobin. Maybe there has to be some Littlefinger - Sansa stuff at Harrenhall first but I could see this as a reason why Sweetrobin would have to come to the Riverlands with them. I think it would also be fitting in a way if Sweetrobin would become more "bossy" in his own very childish way and that the Lords will find it harder to just ignore him and his whishes/whims now that they made him King. Maybe King Sweetrobin is a bit more than the lords bargined for? I'm also not that convinced if Daenerys truly ever will return to Westeros. It's the whole thing with George always looking to subvert expectations... From the start of the story Dany is set on reconquering Westeros, wouldnt it be really fitting if that's not what she would end up doing? I always thought there's a good chance that she ends up in Valyria either to rebuild it or as a hermit to secure the survival of Dragons in the world after realising that wherever she goes people would try to either kill or steal them. After all the main thing Quaithe tells her is REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE. Of course Dany thinks this means remembering that she is a Targaryen but as Preston often says, our characters are always wrong about these things. Why shouldnt this mean remembering that she is a VALYRIAN instead? She deffinitely isnt a Westerosi, she wasnt even raised there and has no memory of the place. I do also see the option of her playing an important in Westeros with her Dragons in defeating the Others. However that still doesnt rule out that she would return to Valyria at the end of the story for one of the reasons above. In any case, imo her next stop will 100% have to be Ashai where she will find something that will set her on her path, be it Westeros or Valyria.

I think Daenerys' next stop has to be vaes dothrak after the end of ADWD.. And surely she would be set on returning to mereen ASAP so although I would love to have some chapters in asshai, I don't think that's on the agenda for this story

She already is in Vaes Dothrak. She will probably return to Mereen and go to Ashai from there... But by how Quaithe is talking about Ashai it clearly is important to Danys story, I dont think Ashai can or will be skipped

With the regent situation is KL, why would Mace Tyrell call to the Westerlands for a new regent? I kinda see him trying to put Marge in that position (she is of age, and is kinda family to Tommen), and Cersei uses the backlash from that (and a few other of Mace's miscalculations) to get herself very flimsily back in power briefly.

Margaery is still under investigation by that Faith Kangaroo Court and needs to stand Trial. Mace might be powerful as Hand of the King after Kevin's Death, but there is no way the Religious Fantatics that are swarming King's Landing will allow a woman accused of lewdness, fornication, adultery, and high reason to be the Regent. TLDR: If Mace names Margaery as Regent, within a day he'll be dealing with a city wide rebellion by armed and organized religious lunatics. Mace might be a weak man, but he's not completely stupid.

@@MutteringCondolences in Kevan's epilogue, Mace wants to declare Marge innocent. Kevan rebuffs him, but now Kevan's dead. I could see Mace declaring her innocent and making her regent (if he's stupid enough to declare her innocent, he's stupid enough to make her regent). And yeah, you're right; that absolutely would drive the sparrows crazy and force him to backpedal on both counts. Since its hinted that Cersei is back in power by the time Harys Swyft makes it to Braavos a month later, Mace Tyrell kinda has to make some egregious political miscalculations (its clear from Kevan's epilogue that the Tyrells are rightfully SOOO fed-up with Cersei, so they'd never willingly consent to her return to power.)

Regarding Sweetrobin staying behind when they march on Harrenhal, I think this is the exact last thing that should happen. Littlefinger would want Sweetrobin along for the sole purpose of legitimizing Alayne AND for the possibility of him dying along the way, two things he absolutely needs to happen for his plans. Blackfish would have some subconscious desire to keep his family close (Family, Duty, Honor and all of that) but he also would need to have Littlefinger's King around so he could try to assert himself as the true leader of their rebellion. Who is Sweetrobin more likely to agree with: his beloved great-uncle or his hated stepfather? Sure, he's a little boy, but he is still technically a King. Meanwhile, Bronze Yohn and Nestor would want Sweetrobin to stay behind at The Gates of the Moon for protection and that is the factor that makes Littlefinger and Blackfish agree that their sad, sickly little boy-king absolutely must come along. If he stays behind, he would more than likely need to remain in their custody. This means neither Baelish nor Blackfish control the King directly. And if something goes wrong, the Royces can pull out and hold Sweetrobin hostage. Sweets can absolutely end up back in The Vale at some point, but the logistics of him being a hostage and staying behind versus being a puppet and coming along are something that need to be considered.

So a couple of questions I thought of while listening. 1) will we still get a scene similar the show with Alyane being revealed to Sansa? I mean Miranda would still want her out of the picture to try and sink her fingers into sweet Robin, and she believes she can proof she killed Lysa. Sweet Robin could always annul the marriage to Tyrion rather than remove the bastard status. After all it is a 7 kingdom custom that the high septon has to annul the marriage and they are no longer part of the 7 kingdoms. And while ppl may frown on it, if it means gaining an allied they may just shrug. Or potentially simply name a new high septon of the Vale/the Riverland And the rest, provided that he annulls the marriage. This would allow for more conflicts with the faith and kinda have a henry the 8th vibe of "oh your gonna be like that? Ok I'll start my own church." 2)Was Alyane giving her favor to someone named after daemon blackfyre and whose house is a large blackfyre supporter a hint that someone will try to marry sansa of to Ageon, who may or may not be a blackfyre, who is being supported by blackfyre sympathizers? I think you mentioned that it may be a possibility in the dragons in the Riverland (?) Series.

The story needs Robin to leave the vale I think. Here’s why he would go. Winter is here and he’s in the vale. They could just wait for the winter to be over before starting their campaign. However, they also want to strike while the enemy is weak, they need to win people to their side before winter, and so Robin needs to be out for people to pledge too. Because, during winter the smaller houses will seek aid from the larger forces: the Lannisters. Therefore the Lannisters may actually be stronger after winter. That’s why they need to bring the smaller houses into the fold NOW. So Robin will be set up in Harrenhal, to hold a kings court where nearby people can come to pledge themselves to him.

subverting expectations - Littlefinger POV chapters could contain increasingly tortuous rationalizations of him turning into Sansa's simp. I fully expect Sansa to be the 'more beautiful' queen in the Valonquir prophecy. Also - Sansa is a warg. Ok, she lost Lady, but imagine how formidable of a schemer a warg would be? Who is Robert Arryn's heir now? I'd love some internal monologue of Sansa and how Harrenhal AND Riverrun should actually belong to her as the most senior Tully (that hasnt abdicated or is presumed dead) I know this might now advance the plot, but would be amazing to have a recap on how her Sansa's hisband, Lord Tyrion would be the current lord of Casterly rock, how she also was close to becoming the wife of the heir to Highgarden, would be Lady of the Vale if she indeed marries her cousin. How had she married Joffrey she'd be queen and a Baratheron and with rebel Renly dying withot heirs, her second son with joffrey would have been Lord of the Stormlands (probably) Also like more thoughts on how her Father grew up in the vale and kinda reconnect with him that way. visiting the places he visited, etc.

I think it's been stated that none of Jons nieces can be the heir so there's a few options after that.. Harry would leave behind 2 bastards, though he would not have had the chance to acknowledge the 2nd as it isn't born yet. Also onee of Jons nieces was carried off by burned men so there's likely at least a couple Arryn heirs in that clan. No idea what would be decided, if sweetrobin dies, the veil will likely go into civil war.

I loved the chapter overall but one thing i didnt like was sansas lack of agency. This isnt necessarily ylur problem as its something sansas story has suffered from in general but its something i would like to see gojng forward is sansa taking more agency and moves to forward her plot

what is this obsession with Sansa and "agency"? MAYBE she is the personality type that does as she is told, some people are indecisive people pleasers. Arya has agency, Dany has agency, Arrianne has agency, Asha has agency, Margeary has agency, Catelyn had agency, Melisandre has agency.... maybe Sansa is not the second coming of Vito Corleone/Littlefinger/Varys? what if that happens? she is NOT going to be "da queen in da North!".

The chapter is great. I really enjoyed it. My question is why did Harry not fly in the final tilt? Sweet Robin was chanting "fly-fly-fly" then Harry slips off his horse like a drunk? If Harry dying in the final tilt is to suggest Sweet Robin influenced that outcome, Harry should have been propelled airborne at some point, before falling dead. That would have had a vibe of the Billy Mummy twilight zone, the "wish it into the cornfield" one, because of the terrifying power the child appears to have.

This chapter is bad even for a fanfic. How can you write a Sansa POV chapter and remove all her protagonism and give it away to other male characters, especially one as dull as Robert Arryn ?!?! You clearly doesn't understand the character of Sansa, and what her storyline represent. She should be the Queen not freaking Robin Arryn or any freaking Waynwood as you implie. The story is hers not theirs.

Most of it was good but some of the developments were way too abrupt and felt rushed - Robert declared king, and recognizing Alayne as Sansa. Robert makes no sense as king. Repeating the Rob as king in the north moment here for Robert felt like you were plagiarizing that chapter while missing the earned loyalty and devotion that made kingship so natural for Rob.
