Thank you for this great video! When you said the podcast was called theology in the raw I thought you would have a bias in this argument. But I was misguided and the questions you posed were very open minded and fairly represented (as to my experience) the popular opinions of transactivists and other supporters of gender affirming care. Great to see people conducting interviews for the sole sake of knowledge.

Even if you did you could only cure it by accepting yourself. There’s no evidence that hormones and surgery can cure dysphoria most of the time.

Dr. Laidlaw - Really should stay in his lane - He is not a psychologist or psychiatrist - quit making statements of what he believes is the social side of hormones or treatment... His role in his field is to find safe medical to his field - he is a specialist that requires another doctor to even see him... Lets assume that doctor has done due diligence before even considering that kind of medical intervention.

What does psychology have to do with biology? If you are a male, you cannot become a female! PERIOD! STOP destroying our children with all these trans treatments that will create a medical nightmares for these children for the rest of their lives!

@@carriesmith9943 the biology of a persons sex can't be changed - but how they navigate and live there lives can! Where is your dog in this fight?? Why are you so personally driven to hate on the "trans" community?? If it is some pure idea of protecting children you will never meet... I hope your a foster parent ?? Your helping at the local food bank? Your volunteering to help terminally Children? Your donating time and money to local school systems that are not yours?? GEN'DER, noun [Latin genus, from geno, gigno; Gr.to beget, or to be born; Eng. kind. Gr. a woman, a wife; Sans. gena, a wife, and genaga, a father. We have begin from the same root. See Begin and Can.] 1. Properly, kind; sort. 2. A sex, male or female. Hence, 3. In grammar, a difference in words to express distinction of sex; usually a difference of termination in nouns, adjectives and participles, to express the distinction of male and female. But although this was the original design of different terminations, yet in the progress of language, other words having no relation to one sex or the other, came to have genders assigned them by custom. Words expressing males are said to be of the masculine gender; those expressing females, of the feminine gender; and in some languages, words expressing things having no sex, are of the neuter or neither gender GEN'DER, verb transitive To beget; but engender is more generally used. GEN'DER, verb intransitive To copulate; to breed. Leviticus 19:19. Websters 1828 Dictionary
