My kids are now 20 and 23, and man - it’s been a journey. Still is. Both have struggles with mental health, and that has made the letting go - pulling away so much harder to navigate. It’s true though, if you’re united as parents, you can handle almost anything. Personally though, I would give my right kidney if either of my kids would go buy some food and make dinner 😂 Edit - After listening to Chris share what she had wanted to say at the conference, I was really inspired and also convicted. And maybe, because she shared it here, I and others who weren’t able to attend the conference were able to hear and listen to the voice of the Spirit. Thank you Chris and Preston!

I so enjoy listening to your podcast and I've picked up some other awesome podcast from your guests. Maybe your audience would be more diverse once you move to other cities. Boise sounds very un-diverse lol. It was good to hear Chris share her heart about your ministry together and the conference. May God bless your continued work in "raw theology"!

I really enjoy hearing Chris speak, but I also understand the fear of criticism. Thanks for all you both do!

Preston mentioned "unrepented sin" during this talk. I think we need to be very careful in using unrepented sin as a spiritual screening tool. Is there really anyone among us that is aware of, and has asked forgiveness for, every sin that we have ever, or are currently committing? I don't think so. That would mean we're living up to the standard of Jesus, who was perfect. It's so easy to consign gay people to hell because they are unrepentant sinners. I daresay that almost all Christians fail to live up to the standard set in the parable of the sheep and goats, yet many will despise the LGBTQ community for a failure they both share - failure to acknowledge sin. And what often compounds it is the fact that Christians so often assume a pharisee posture by thanking God that they're not like other sinners. We need to cultivate our humility.

Preston, I don’t know if you read any of the YT comments, but perhaps you should ask yourself why you get so many negative emails from the people who attend the churches where you host your conferences. Have you considered that maybe the members do not appreciate having their home church open its doors to your speakers and their ideas? Have you ever considered that maybe some of those same members have left their churches because of the message it sends to the broader community? Perhaps you might decide it’s a better idea to host your conferences in a neutral, non-church facility instead of disrupting the local body of believers who do not share your views? Just a thought.

As someone who attends the church that hosted the conference I can say that everyone I personally know was very grateful to have this conference here. I was challenged and convicted to have a greater love for Jesus and His bride.

The feedback was intended for Preston, although I doubt he actually reads the comments section. Since you decided to weigh in, have you and everyone that you “personally know” done their homework and researched Preston and his speakers? Are you familiar with his involvement with Revoice and his position on the sin of homosexuality and his views on the use of affirming pronouns? Sadly, I have personally met many people that have left that church recently because they have platformed Preston and hosted this conference.
