You make such a good point about not needing so much detail or variety. I guess that is the redeeming feature about snowfall cities

I personally find that abandoned factories along the sides of a river are particularly interesting, not to say that other abandoned factories aren't, but they seem to have this whole new look next to the water

I love the cinematic sound effects, the first one makes the city seems so much more blustery and cold, in a good way.

One thing you could do @8:05 is add one or two old boxcars. Or maybe the line is not as used, and is holding tank cars, or hopper cars in storage, and it might be owned my a local railfan, or another business to help float income, after I herd from another channel that car storage a $4 or $5 dollars per 10 cars.

It’s something about the sound effects that makes me get a better representation of how cold it actually is there. If you were to do a national park and place some cabins, I’d definitely spend the holidays here.

I liked the distribution center. One small detail: a lot of bays were empty and not all trailers had a truck connected. Both add a lot to the realism. It's also reminds me of a HUGE DC being built a few miles from my house - pass by it everyday commuting to/from work. Speaking of details. Two things we've noted out here: there are banks everywhere (they're like Dunks in New England). Also, gas stations - wherever you find one (all over) you'll find another across the street. Same for drug stores: Walgreens and CVS are almost always within three blocks of each other.

There's a facility near me that makes potato chips, and they have a loading dock that tips a semi trailer up to dump out loads of potatoes. A weird sight and fun addition for some industry.

I have a really good online friend who lives up in the midwest (she's in Michigan, I'm in Georgia) and I might just show her screenshots of this to see how accurate it is. I've never been to the midwest but the build looks super accurate!

i fly over the midwest every year or so and seeing this from above in-game it really does remind me of something id see below in wisconsin, good job on the pacific coast in long beach or westport in wa, there's a lot of rental fatbike places for the beach, and mountain biking is a decent tourism industry on the northwestern coast where there's cliffs from kalaloch to neah bay

Big parking lot assets look really great. Though I'm little bit worried about CSL limits if building large project with many parking lots of this type (much more nodes and buildings plopped). Every plopped parking which (according to big parking lots tutorial video) gives 6 parking slots and it takes one ingame square. So you need a lot of them per normal parking spot - like maybe 20 - 50 of them. But maybe my worries are unjustified and premature, because players probably end their project from different reasons than hitting node and building limit :) You are absolutely right about the details in swowfall map but on the other hand there is also less visual things to enjoy. It feels like one large white snow blanket. No colours, no different textures just white colour everywhere. I've never liked snowfall maps and I hope you will be back in some classic project soon :) Have a nice rest of the weekend.

Hii! I play cities skylines and I am wondering what mod you use to place buildings together, and another mod that allows you to unlock all building from the workshop automatically. I recently started a city and one skyscraper needs 1000 people riding public transportation per week, but you always have the buildings unlocked straight away.
