You can also tell heimerdinger changed a lot during his stay in that timeline where he improved a lot of lives and where he quotes those lines “How can I forsake another brilliant mind in need again”(referring to Jayce) “Whats the point of the device like this if you don’t enjoy the time you have”(referring to victor)

Heimerdinger and Ekko went to a world where hextech never happened and saw the results, while Jayce went to a world where hextech happened and saw the end results of hextech being used. Polar opposites, with the world of Arcane being in the middle.

Ekko is the real MVP of the Arcane series. While everyone else screws up and makes a mess of everything, he travels across universes to fix everyone's mistakes.

I have a HORRIBLE and LIKELY theory. People have been wondering why Ekko and Heimedinger ended up in the same alternate reality, while Jayce didn't. Didn't he thought? We know that Ekko and Heimedinger ended up in the same reality, but at a DIFFERENT time; the parcimony principe would hence push to the conclusion that Jayce had arrived in the same reality, at a different time; probably in the future. But then, if Jayce never invented Hextech in said reality, how would the world end like that? Well, Ekko has shown to Powder how she can use the cristals she has kept since she was a child...

@xxklesx1 well, of course one could imagine any scenario. But that's the thing, it is simpler to assume that he went like the others in the same universe, rather than going with yet another universe, which is not necessary to explain the scenes.

Ekko and Heimi were transported to another dimension - Ekko into the person of the Ekko of that dimension. Where Vi died in the explosion in S1E1, and everyone else got to live a better life in a world where Piltover and Zaun were not divided but one and thriving. Ekko wants to go back to his dimension and eventually does so leaving behind the original otherdimensional Ekko, but at the cost of Heimi. Jayce was transported to the future of the world in their dimension, if they continued to use shimmer. The future scared the crap out of him and made him promise to destroy the arcane.

One of my main complaints about act 2 was, that caits character got butchered in favor of the plot, eventhough she had one of the most interesting and powerful positions coming into this act. I just took it as a pacing issue and all her development happening of screen, so we can have an equally amazing story about jinx, vi, vander and isha. Looking bad, that was the first sign of disaster. Should have been act 2 dictator cait and act 3 the isha story. Then just end it or go to another season for everything else

@ No one else in any reaction I’ve seen was confused by this episode. Plenty of people online are confused by the next two episodes, so if this one confused them, then the next two might leave them comatose. I didn’t like the last two episodes, so I won’t be watching anyone’s reactions to those anyway. Good luck to them.
