People seriously downplay pet death so much. At least, that’s the way I’ve experienced pet death. Just because of the ways that other people *didn’t* react to pet death, I developed a nagging voice saying “you shouldn’t care this much, they’re not that important, it’s a cat, why are you crying?” But it hurts. I wish you well Max, with whatever’s going on :’>

well im actually part of the group of people who 'don't react to pet deaths', though i feel guilt for it a lot lol. My old dog died back in 2020 and I had no reaction while everyone else was sobbing. i felt awkward and my dad called me a sociopath 💀 you shouldn't listen to that voice, it's okay to be upset over a pet's death and it's also okay not to feel anything.

It's a living being be more sonder aka be more away that everyone has a life just as complex as your own and that cat is still a living being it still had feelings it stil felt love and pain and your just branding away it's entire existence how about I do what happend to your cat your best freind and we will see how easy it is to just ignore it's passing its just a human

I had to deal with this pain for 3 years and I've only just gotten happy with myself and don't wish to hurt myself, I know it's a long process to stop but you do stop, it may take awhile but when you really know you can stop it feels so freeing, the night I realized I couldn't stop smilling I cried of happiness because I didn't want to hurt myself anymore I didn't feel the need to anymore and it's so so freeing I promise it'll get better 🫶

Hey, I don’t usually comment on KZbin because I have a bit of trouble putting thoughts into text, so if I have some typos I’m really sorry. But I wanted you to know that I really like your art and that I think you put this animatic together so well. Furthermore, I have too lost a pet, but to me he was a brother. I had to watch him die, not being able to do anything about it. I’m so sorry for your loss, and I know the pain you’re being put through. People may try to downplay it or cheer you up, but sometimes it’s just better to cry and recognize what you need to do to recover. It really doesn’t matter if their human or not, they meant so much to you, a bond that no one else will ever understand. I hope that this helps, take as much time as you need to take breaks and express yourself, whether that be in art or song or anything. But I will say it all is more understood, and more bearable to live with as time goes on.

As someone who lost a pet recently, I feel your pain. I’m sorry you had to lose them, I’m sure they were a wonderful companion. Mine was an 18 year old senior cat, so I can’t say I lost her too soon, but it still felt like too soon. She’d been present almost my entire life.

It's always tough to bear a love one's death, especially with a pet that you've known for so long, but at least they're in a better place. I know it's hard to keep going, but time will lessen the pain. We've all been there before and we try our best to move on, even if it's a struggle. I hope you'll get well soon, and take all the time you need. Take breaks if necessary.

I know its a difficult time, and that it will take time to cope with it, im sure your pet had a life full of love thanks to you, and now its soul can rest in peace, and maybe just maybe, if the other life exist, it will talk to other cats about how much your pet loved you, and will take care for you from heaven, just like you took care of them. Take your time, and cry all you need so you can get your emotions out. We will be here with you!
