The trick to sniffing out a scav or a PMC is the boots, the scav boots or sometimes flip-flops are always filthy and dirty. The PMC’s are crisp, clean and new.

Sam, there's a better way to do the joke gun thing. Put a wrong round in the chamber, fill the mag up to max minus one wrong bullets, then ONE right bullet to top it off. Shift+T chamber checks, doesn't mag check. Alt+T mag checks, lists only the top visible round type (the right one) and doesn't chamber check.

So my brother and I have perfected this strat, and how to spot those who attempt the art themselves. Holsters are a huge red flag, no scavs have holsters, several of the outfit options from ragman for usec and a few ( only like 2) for bear have no holster on the pants. The top is up to you and changin it up a bit to see what works for you is best but hide the patch obv. sev tops for both sides dont have patches and look scavvy. Overkill is also a risk, especially if the raid just started and you have every single possible scav thing ie... beanie, fire mask stockless ak with no dustcover and 10 rounders scav vest and duffle is a bit on the nose. And last ofcourse the map is a huge factor. We loved running factory, murdering the other 4 people, and waiting to farm scavs we would simulate firefights and yell PMC over here then theyd walk past us and wed shoot them in the back of the head. Good times
