Nothing more needed to be added: it a DISH, not a whole meal that is required at the end. 9 points all around.

I just decided to rewatch all the episodes of Pass It On and I forgot how much I absolutely loved this episode. By far my favorite!

Some of those pretentious ingredients are ones I haven't seen in videos before: Mature Marmite? Bourbon Vanilla Extract? Spolier alert!

Yeah i was like WAIT A MINUTE! these are new! :D

That's what we thought too!!!! I'm a massive marmite fan so knew I would have remembered THAT little beauty...

I found this absolutely hilarious!!! Ben did great, because using these pretentious ingredients seems so difficult!!!! So glad Mike and Barry added on to it. Made the point clear that they are no longer lost boys in the kitchen, and were at least able to further the recipe. Surprised at Jamie, and I think he was so upset because he was disappointed in himself. He did have time to throw stuff in, but neither added stock to the risotto or any elements to the dish, which is weird cos he's come so far in 10 years. Keep Pass It On going!!!

By limiting Jamie's (in)famous "creativity" Ben just saved the dish!

Makes me happy to see some of the dads actually cook instead of messing the dish up

Pass it on - each is assigned one of the major tastes (bitter, salty, sour, sweet, and umami) and must contribute their taste to the dish.

Yes!

I call that a full pass! Each person contributed at least one new thing... Umami powder, eggplant and prawn marinade... Yet the original plan still made it to the final table. Great job guys!

You should do a ultimate battle where a chef is forced to use a certain amount of gadgets to make a dish and then a normal has to try and recreate it without the gadgets
@satansbarman4 жыл бұрын
We still need the ultimate mix of this (pretentious pass it on) and kitchen gadgets, but make sure James is there and gets to do double trouble, we all know he loves them so 😁

Ben just turned that episode into bring your child to work day. He designed the whole thing to keep the kids from stapling themselves to the office blinds.

How about as a suggestion for another challenge - a 'structural cake' challenge where they have to bake and decorate a cake to look like the team themselves? To make it easier (maybe?) the first guy in the challenge also gets to pick a photo of the team in his slot as the 'inspiration' for the cake and they have to see how close they can get to it?
