That's what you get with a Chef that has done this for at least a decade. And whatever happens he doesn't panic or starts going crazy, like James did in this video and the one where they cook the Swedish dish with the recipe in Swedish. It was brilliant watching him slate James’ contribution to the dish and not even give any consideration that what he walked into was done for a reason 😂😂 if I walked in after a chef I’d automatically assume that everything that’s been done has a purpose rather than being a mistake so watching him slew James whilst being completely wrong was so funny because he had the right idea to skewer more prawns was correct he just did it in the completely incorrect way that didn’t help the team achieve their end goal but was swiftly amended by Ebbers who was on the same wavelength as James and understood his intentions unlike Mike 😂😂

It’s funny that he typically gives himself a high score for his performances in these videos because he tends to massively overestimate his contributions but it’s admirable that he’s got so much self confidence! The badge battles proved that he’s a skilled competent member of the team, and he knows the limits of his skills and technical ability but is also brave enough to push himself to the limits and attempt to execute difficult tasks that he gets criticised for when he fails to deliver as expected 😂

@@MechaEmperor7000 I'm Korean and grew up on Kim Bap (which is very similar in technique to a sushi roll) and make nigiri at home sometimes. The hardest thing in making nigiri is to press the rice enough that it holds its shape but not so much that it becomes a gummy like bad mochi. Yeah, properly is right.

High tea does include more filling foods eg shepherds pie, as opposed to simply sandwiches, scones and cakes. Last time i suggested riddle themed relay where you dont reveal the dish and only give riddles based on the dish, maybe reveal it for the 4th or last person to make it possible. Now im gonna suggest something fun, arrange lots of ingredient in one place, make a large pile, then have the 5 bois throw something like darts and the 5 ingredients they hit have to be in the dish, maybe just use pictures of ingredients instead of real ingredients. Maybe also use darts for the orders Maybe to make it more interesting they are not allowed to use any other ingredient other than the 5, or the 5 ingredients have to be on the same dish, cant be used to make some side dish.

The Pass It On challenge must have seemed like a good idea when they thought of it, but it's too stuck in its own formula now. You can write the script before seeing any of it. Everyone plays the character they always play, and all that changes is the order. How about this: the two chefs think up the challenge, then the three Normals have to do it, with no chance of being rescued by Ben. Wouldn't it be fun to watch a complete failure?

I think Ben earned his high score. He fixed the prawns so they could go in the roll and fried them. He made the avocado mayo mix which went in the roll. He made the Peruvian salsa mix (though it wasn’t served how he had imagined). He also did what he was supposed to do (putting the rice in the fridge when it was done and toasting sesame seeds so they’d be ready when needed). It’s not his fault that Barry took his whole time to make a single roll. It’s easier to do if you practice, but 10 minutes isn’t bad if you don’t really do it under a time crunch. Ben had everything set in a good place for Barry and Jamie.

One thing I love about the art of sushi is that it has all the characteristics to be incredibly pretentious, but doesn't. If this was an Italian dish, they would've been chastised for trying to add creative elements and "ruining sacred recipes". Instead, I showed this to sushi chefs. They obviously consider it a gigantic fail, and they point out everything they did wrong, but they don't take it seriously. They are fine with amateurs improvising, and actually had a good laugh without being condescending.

I can't judge the sushi itself but there was one near-miracle PASS in this episode. Barry didn't leave a single hob on!!! And kudos to Mike as well for such a clear demonstration of proper handwashing criterion, no matter how much it may interfere with the cooking process.

I think there should be a Game Meat challenge and a No Heat challenge. And also a challenge where the last person not only has to plate the dish but come up with a cocktail that compliments the dish. This channel has been my latest quarantine find and I've been enjoying it greatly!
