I enjoyed the video. I find it calming to watch people manipulate thread to make beautiful designs. I like the comparison to the art pieces.

Loved this. Especially how you’ve taken the formality out of how to use the stitches. Seeing the work of other artists is such a bonus. Thank you.

Beautiful video, I like the mix of technical instruction, your composition “under water” and the mix with the other textile artists! I enjoyed it on a rainy sundaymorning in Zwolle/ nl

I have to agree with Cathy here, you are very calming! I love these techniques. I had some idea of how they were done as my mother was very skilled at needle arts as well as drawing. Yes, my mother did it all! She taught me to needlepoint when I was 8 years old. Did I keep it up? OF COURSE I DIDN'T! ಥ_ಥ

That was gorgeous, thank you. Could you tell us what your base fabric is?
@annacatherinesendgikoski19653 жыл бұрын
Hers looks to be a basic tight weave cotton or calico. But, you can learn about five different basic fabrics here: www.thesprucecrafts.com/embroidery-fabrics-1177597
@artymous61403 жыл бұрын
It was a cotton, not sure what it is exactly because it just came out of the fabric stash box! (which I'm sure is expanding on it's own...)

Thank you so much for your videos they are much appreciated and very inspiring ! I encounter a problem both about perfectionnism which refrain me from starting anything for fear of failure and zero waste habits which refrain me from practice especially with fabrics, threads...(it's thankfully easier with paints and paper !). What would you advise ? 🙏
@artymous61403 жыл бұрын
Find some fabric you don't mind losing - go to charity shops and get some old clothes and curtains and start playing - make it an experiment with no defined outcome, and you will put less pressure on yourself. Let me know how it goes!
