Hi Nate! I love when you put the bright pink wraps on the girls, once they've had their pedicures. I know it gets filthy by the time they're back out to the pasture, but I love it just the same. The shot of the rest of the herd coming in to see if THEY were getting pink toe wraps, was very funny! I love the cows. They are so curious and adorable.

I love how curious the cows are. Their life is pretty simple, not a lot of unusual stuff going on, so when Nate rolls up it is almost like they see a band coming to town or a circus, something alien to them. So of course, they are curious! They want to see what is going on. You can't have intelligence without curiosity, and I think this really demonstrates how smart these animals can be. They want to interact with their world, to explore and understand it. Not so different from us humans, imo.

Curious yeah, but not in the sense humans experience curiosity. They can't access an imagination like humans and imagine multiple possible scenarios, instead they rely on very broken memories to asses a situation. They can't see into the realm of forms, as Plato tells us.

You talking about anaerobic bacteria reminds me of a story my good friend heard while doing his biotech degree. A patient with some kind of bacterial infection of the stomach couldn't get rid of it. The bacteria seemed to be resistant to all known forms of antibiotics. The patient kept getting worse. It got so bad that the doctors sent a sample to a lab to identify the strain, found out it was an anaerobic bacteria, so to get rid of it they surgically extracted the patients stomach from the chest cavity and cut the stomach open like a flesh map. Let it air out for 60 seconds, and stitched up the stomach and returned it to the chest cavity. The patient made a full recovery. Most people forget just how deadly oxygen can be to anaerobic bacteria.

Hey Nate! Hope your Neck is better and you have been able to avoid a surgery. I have had 5 spinal fusions, and suspect I will have more at the site I had a fracture about 8 years ago. I had a stumble forward in my driveway and fell just before my garage door. I caught myself against the door but not high enough to keep from falling, and my knees slid backward on the driveway, and my back got bent backward at a 90 degree angle… causing a fracture at T12. I still have aching at that level… so I suspect it will be an issue. More than half my neck is fused, and about half my lumbar spine is fused too.. I guess it makes sencse that More metal gets added to my Thoracic spine.🤣🤣🤣 for good measure. Some one has to keep my neurosurgeon in business!🤣🤣 Wishing you all the best and NO spine fusions. ♥️
