What I love about this track is the sincerity of the sample and the song title ("One Day They'll Know"). I have no way of confirming this, but the story in my head over this track is that this was born out of Derek's desire for his work, the album, the genre he's pushing, to be recognized, seen, and praised. Wisely, he understand it's "one day at a time" towards that goal. Great track!

i love this album so much, it is up there with the classics like dark side of the moon, a gem, a marvel, a wonder. i remember when it came out, after years of waiting for PL to come out with something new, it finally comes and exceeds all expectations by a long shot. thanks pretty lights, you are a living legend in my books.
