Hi Guys! In today's video I am sharing with you a new idea for junk journal pockets - quick, easy, and so pretty! We will be using our paper scraps and vellum (or tracing paper). I'm going to show you how to join them together to create gorgeous, a bit grungy pockets with a transparent bit in them. And here are some more ideas for you of how you can use paper scraps to create ephemera :) kzbin.info/aero/PLKhW8--MgT5-Ax7-cNUxxSkwcpSN5nBzs Enjoy your Sunday! Martyna

FANTASTIC IDEA!!! I've never seen anything like this. I really love it. I'm going to try this right away. You ask how we were all doing out here,....... I'm in Austin, Texas - USA. It's been a super hot summer here. Weather finally cooling off. We are still under a "stay at home" order in Texas, and the entire United States. We can go out for necessary things. But suppose to stay home as much as possible. They don't stop us anymore if we are out. But for 6 months, you could be stopped and ask why you were out. Some states gave out tickets with fines. All children were in home-schooling for 7 months. I don't know HOW working parents got by. Our government did send us all a check to help us out. That was helpful. Never thought I'd see something like this in OUR lifetime. It reminds me of the plagues we read about throughout history. Only groups of ten at one place. My son & DIL had to cancel their April 9, 2020 wedding. And only had a ceremony at our church, with 10 guests. No family except me cuz I'm only one not out of state. I feel so bad for them. After 18 months of wedding planning. And no honeymoon either. But they have each other. My son, Christopher, said "All I need is God, Pastor, and Amy"!!! So true. They've been together 5+ yrs now. And are so happy. They love being married. They are so cute together. She is an Angel. I just love that girl. She is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. They cut her hours to 2 days week, for 5 months. But our government paid her while she wasn't working. My son has a construction company. All his jobs canceled for about 3 wks. Then seemed everyone wanted to remodel their homes while they were at home. So we have been OK financially. Many people in US ARE NOT so blessed. Our Church had only online services for 6 months. We could not travel outside our state for months. Hotels were all closed. No airplanes flying. We could only have gatherings of ten people only in one place for about 7 months. Texas has opened up most businesses. But all with limited patrons. Theaters and that kind of business still closed. Church opened 6 weeks ago. We all spread out. Masks everywhere you go. For about 2 months, food, toilet paper, cleaning products, and all necessary items, were empty shelves in ALL stores. People standing in line to go to grocery store but was a little scary, actually. So many businesses have gone out of business for good. Can't get thru the financial burden. Many employees are working from home now. I imagine that will stay the same for many employees after this is all over!!! I'm retired, so it hasn't changed my life so much. We went out for lunch Sunday after church. 1st time in a restaurant since March! It was so nice to get out. Sometimes we just go out and drive around to get to see something, other than our house. So many more people out walking. Families spending lots of time together. School just started back 2 wks ago. We've only had home schooling since March. I'm sure it was especially difficult for working parents. Laws were passed, so no one could get evicted from their homes if they didnt pay rent. I think that's till Dec 2020. We own our home, so that doesn't affect us either. Where do you live??? How are things where you are??? I assume you are NOT in the United States??? WOW,...sorry, its such a LONG comment. But you ask?? I wish everyone would tell about how their lives have been affected. Be well. And thank you for teaching us this great idea!!! I am a newbie to junk journals. And just subscribed to your channel. Happy Crafting,... Austin, Texas USA

I totally understand about needing to have a routine. I'm going through the same feeling that you were. I hope you found a place on time and all is going well. I'm a big lover of vellum as well (I also use transparency film) so I just love these peek-a-boo pockets with the torn edges. I'll def be using this idea.

These are gorgeous ❤️ kinda of a play on what jibid neary did a couple years ago. She did exact thing with vellum and tracing paper and envelopes. She was the very first artist I ever saw use this method 🥰

I love the way you use vellum! Such a beautiful result! I sympathize with your need of stability. I’ve lived in 7 appartements over the past nine years... it’s really not all that fun. I hope you’re able to stay in your next place for a while. Having a dedicated crafting space will be such a treat! Good luck with the move 💕

I love vellum too. So I ordered multicolored vellum. Today made some pockets with your method. I really love how they turned out. Funny I had the opposite glue issue. My art glitter glue buckled the paper and went everywhere. The glue stick was nicely behaved and did not. Still have them pressed under books. And I have a lot more vellum to find ideas for! God bless ❤
