An honorary degree is nothing but a certificate of achievement on a higher level
@Alleycat20507Ай бұрын
I think there are be notable exemptions though. In the music field, Oscar Peterson a nationally renowned jazz pianist received a honorary doctorate for his lifelong dedication to his craft. His stuff has indeed been taught in many college/university programs worldwide. Someone of his caliber definitely earned it. Unfortunately, I see those honorary doctorates handed out way more often than deserved. My real doctorate and I couldn’t care less, but it is noticeable.

My only critique is I wish Perry would delve into different genres or hire ppl who can do that for him. Because he’s one of the rare few Black owned movie studios. So it’d be cool to get an action, horror or a sci-fi film from his studio.

@@user-tq9bw3tv4n i disagree you can get through an advanced hs diploma with "just studying" but college takes a much higher level of dedication. There is a reason people average a- in high-school and the exact same person averages c+ at college. 80% of the young people attending are studying and not even half of them are graduating that's evidence it's not that easy. I guess the classes I took were some of the hardest available so maybe thats part of why I see it that way.
