My tip on working out in the morning is just to get up and not think about it because once you lay there, you start making excuses: “too cold, I didn’t get much sleep last night, I’m bloated, etc”.

The moment Alisha says, “am I the problem??” And then yeets the conversation to talk about an embarrassing story about Remi 😅. Girl, I think it takes strength being introspective and looking inward with the whole dating world and realizing that yes, it may be us sometimes. I’ve had to do the same thing and once I realized that and softened/opened my heart, talked about it in therapy, made some personal changes..it brought in a whole new different pool of men, different backgrounds etc. I found the man of my dreams. I honestly had this “idea” of what I wanted which basically came down to how I wanted him to look. Surface level things. And the guys I was attracting were just that. Surface level attractive asshats that wanted to say all the right things for one end goal at the end of the night. Then I realized what I actually want is a high quality man who wants the same things out of life I do and to be married some day. I started having more real conversations on dating apps and weeded people out fast. Be real with yourself and open your heart to that ❤️

Once i changed from checking boxes to looking for my life long best friend everything changed for me in the dating game and it opened up my heart to true love. Money comes and goes, looks fade, but can i laugh with you at 80? Can we communicate properly? Do we share the same core values? And most importantly, if it’s not a heck yes it’s a heck no!

Hey Remi, about the structure and gym: my boyfriend is a full time KZbinr, so he spends all day at home. I am a cosmetician, so I work from 10 to 7. He usually pics me up and we ho to the gym together. It's great this way, because he get's out of the house and structures his day around my working hours and the gym is a fun activity to do with your partner. We do different stuff there but I go over to him between sets and tell him about my day 😊
@LenaHillOnTour Жыл бұрын
Afterwards we ho home, eat and go to bed. This means he isn't up too late and he get's up aroud the time I leave the house 😊. I love, that he get's his work done during the day, so we can spend the evening together.

Alisha!! Maybe try looking into different attachment styles? (E.g. secure, anxious, avoidant, disorganized attachment style etc) And see if you can relate to one of them? I mention this because you mentioned that you were into someone but then got turned off when they started showing you nice gestures to show that they care. Avoidant attachment styles usually dip out at any sign of possible commitment and/or when things get real/serious. Everyone has an attachment style when it comes to relationships/dating, and it’s definitely very insightful and helpful to have awareness of your own to see why we react the way we do to certain gestures, etc and how we can work towards a secure attachment style. Hope this helps!

Alisha, I’m 31 and my boyfriend is 49. We’ve been together for 3 years. If you were to ask me if I would EVER date someone so much older 5 years ago I would say NO! My partner is my perfect person. The moment I let go of preferences and kept standards, I found THE ONE. 38-40 is a great age for you! I think LA is immature in general, so you just have to look a little deeper.

During the school year I didn’t work out at all, but now over the summer I have to balance an internship and training for a marathon which means I either get up at 5 am to run (no way) or run in the evening when it isn’t hot.
