To be honest, I mostly like listening to music-only speedpaints. There's just somethong about music that gives a speedpaint life, especially if it matches the atmosphere of the drawing itself. But I also don't mind listening to the person talk about topics or the design sometimes. I rarely like it, but I do have some curious days to see what the artist was thinking about when making the art c: so whatever you choose, I don't mind either way!

Idea for the vampire, he keeps forgetting his own name because he’s lived for so many years and so he has like??? Kind of dementia??? But it’s more just y’know people forget things for the years and this vampire man just forgets all the time “ah! I like when the artist talks every now and again about their process then music plays when they aren't talking because it helps let the art settle in my mind like: "ooooh okay I see it now, awesome!" To me talking all the way through the process you can tell when the artist doesn't know what to do or say so they have filler type sentences that take away from the art at times or it makes it a bit awkward. It also doesn't leave time for me to process the art since at the same time I'm steadily trying to process what the person is saying. (I'm horrible at mental multitasking 😩) But that's just my opinion, there's nothing wrong with it since at times I don't listen to speedpaints with sound. 😅 I turn them down completely to leave room for me to just admire the artwork. Love your art by the way, I've always liked your line art and coloring process 💜💙

Maybe you could try splitting the difference? Try popping in for a bit at the beginning of a speed paint to talk about your process or your thoughts and then cue some jams? I dunno. I'll be here to watch whatever you post

All the pretty boysss!!! It's crazy that it's been over a year of me finding out about your channel. It feels like yesterday when I first saw your art and was awe-struck. Thank you for sharing your art with us! And thank you for being more active on Twitter, I've been enjoying seeing you post the drawings there! My favorites this week we're definitely the Dreams pretty boy, especially the stars on his face, and Experiment! I actually don't think his hands are too small. I have small hands though so maybe that's why? But regardless he's just really cool! Blue mouth and his lil bandaids 🤕 Love the shiny highlight sparkles you've been giving them! Your art always impresses me. You make such clean art in so little time, you make it look easy. When I am trying to draw or design something I try to do things similar to you to get better but I find myself getting frustrated at my lack of skills lol. But that won't stop me. Even if I improve slowly I want to get better. Thank you for being a big inspiration! I haven't really been able to join your prompts since I'm working on a trade I have to draw 3 characters for, and I'm a bit of a snail when it comes to art, but I hope to do some of them. If not in October, later on. Oh, and as for voice-overs, I really don't mind either of them. I find videos without voice-overs easier to watch (not because I don't like your voice or topics you speak of, but because I am easily overstimulated and find it hard to focus), but I still love hearing your thought processes and learn new things about behind the great art. I don't mind either way, both have pros and cons! I hope you've been doing better these days, make sure to get enough rest. We can wait for pretty boytober drawings or videos if needed 💖

there are more than enough speedpaints with music, and i used to prefer it that way, but tbh i’ve grown to love channels that do art and voiceover. Speedpaints with music and ones with voiceover feel like two different genres to me, and sometimes i’m more in the mood for one than the other, but I personally like that your videos have commentary now because I really like your voice, and I like hearing you talk about the drawings you’re making. There’s something about you happily talking about the characters you make and the process that motivates me to want to draw much more than music. Not to mention, more often than not i mute the ones with music to play my spotify playlist because i don’t like the music in the speedpaint.

Watching this video and hearing you talk about the little details made me realize that wow, you are so creative with those prompts! The bunny in the moon thing, the theatre theme for the word play, the little nods to the highlights to distinguish between vibes- really good stuff ^^ Also, on the voiceover question you posed- The voiceover made this video so much more enjoyable for me! I generally find it hard to concentrate on a speedpaint video if it's like 38 minutes long- but just, you geeking out over your art and stuff makes it feel like I'm just hanging out here and having a good time- and you're genuinely really funny, I love the jokes you crack ^^

How can you say Adam is the hottest when Li Shang is right there! Dream or Moon is my favourite, I really couldn't pick between them. They're both so pretty!! Personally, I prefer speedpaints with a voiceover because I have difficulty paying attention when there's only music in the background. I usually just skip forward to see the end piece when there's no voiceover.

Honestly I think what you should do for the talking issue and to just give us your beast rant. Then you just divide the rant for each video. (I agree that beast’s characterization is amazing. Instead of “personality” I say that’s more a of a character development or progression. Because it lets people that sometimes people can be awful but they can change for the better when they want to. The moment he decided to be a better person is the moment he became grade a husband material IMO. Tho I do think some of the angles did him dirty tbh. Also Looji’s a fury confirmed) For the experiment character Jasper or Jeremy.
