Thank you so much for this! I wanted a glitter type of brush for artflow(android), and the only way was to make my own. I followed your shape steps and was able to configure the settings too, despite photoshop and artflow having some brush setting differences. Everything came out perfectly though and I ended up making multiple glitter brushes I really like without meaning to lol.

This is very helpful. Thank you so much for this. Can you also have more tips how to create other brushes like brush to create flowers, leaves, etc...
@PrettyWebzMedia4 жыл бұрын
Most of the brushes I make are "cheat" brushes, I'm not much of an illustrator. Check out this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3WroKOdZcd2hrs for an example of some of the flower and leaf brushes I create using Photoshop. Most of my experience is with web design and marketing materials and I rely on resources from all of the great illustrators out there, but every once in a while I have to make design elements too ☺. If you find these types of videos helpful, I have some planned for future videos!

Hello ! Thank you for all your great tutorials. My question: I have the brush and the glitter with when I am on the document I created with the tuto but when I want to use it on another document it becomes black and white. And if I go on the stamp it does not accept the brush. Did I miss a step? Thank you!

Does anyone know if I need to create new brushes each time I start a New File on Photoshop?🌺
@katherinetroche88122 жыл бұрын
I know this is an old video and don't know if anyone answered your question on load presets but you would have to export your preset as a file then go to your pc files and look for Adobe file. There you will find a preset file. You can place the preset file you created in the correct Adobe preset file. Hope this makes sense. You must restart your program in order for it to show up in photoshop.

Great tutorial - easy and fun! Quick question: how do I save/export the brushes/tool presets so that I can back them up? Thanks!
@PrettyWebzMedia5 жыл бұрын
Hey there! You can save brushes with the preset manager under the Edit tab at the top of the screen. I show how to do this with patterns in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3mWeqipm9OgpbM it starts at 14:14 if you'de like to watch. It's the same process for brushes. I'll make a video dedicated to saving assets (patterns, styles, and brushes ) for Photoshop very soon so keep an eye out for that.

hello...for some reason i cannot select the confetti brush with the mixer brush...what can i be doing wrong? TIA
@PrettyWebzMedia5 жыл бұрын
When you save the brush preset make sure to uncheck size and tool settings so you don’t restrict the brush to just one tool.

Isn't there an option in the brush settings to use a pattern overlay on the brush? That way you don't need a preset.
@Ann-lj4nn5 жыл бұрын
I believe it's in the texture section of the brush settings.
@PrettyWebzMedia5 жыл бұрын
As far as I'm aware, no. If you're referring to the texture settings in the brush settings, you can add the pattern but it only gives you the texture of the pattern, not the pattern itself. I hope that makes sense. You can use the layer options to add patterns to the brush strokes on a layer but not the brush itself. With the tool preset, it will work even if you don't have the pattern loaded into Photoshop. It's just another option.
@Ann-lj4nn5 жыл бұрын
@@PrettyWebzMedia You are right. But I looked it up for you (and me) because I never even thought about doing this before the tutorial and in the pattern stamp tool where the clone stamp tool also is, you can actually do what you're looking to achieve. I only did it once, so I'm not sure if there is a way to load a brush preset into the pattern stamp brush settings, but it was fairly easy to create the same glitter brush in about 30 seconds and you can actually paint with the brush settings you like while also having the actual colored pattern along with it. Hope that makes sense.
@Ann-lj4nn5 жыл бұрын
You can change and save the settings just the same as you can with the regular brush settings, so all you'd need to do is select the pattern stamp tool to use whatever you made instead of the brush tool.
@PrettyWebzMedia5 жыл бұрын
@@Ann-lj4nn Oh, I see. Yes, you can load a pattern into a brush with the pattern stamp tool. In fact, you can get some amazing results with the pattern stamp by working with the impressionist option too. The only thing is you have to have the pattern loaded into Photoshop to use it. The preset allows you to use the brush without the pattern, You preset it once and you can use it on any computer without loading patterns. Thanks for mentioning the pattern stamp. That's a good video idea too!
